Since MNSSHP is sold out on Oct 31st, can anyone recommend any other halloween things to do? Is there trick or treating in Downtown Disney or anything else going on in the world?

Halloween Horror nights are going on at IOA. The only tick-or-treating that I'm aware of is at MNNHP

I'm pretty sure there is Trick or Treating at DTD. I've seen children there before, going from store to store.
Some resorts have little events too. Nothing as elaborate and formal as MNSSHP, but something.
If you wanted, you could take them over to Celebration?

I am so glad to know this! I had inquired earlier in the fall about something to do on Halloween night & got no responses so I was concerned what to do with my 6 & 11 year old. We are going to the party on the 26th but still they will want to trick or treat. Looks like we will be heading to DTD. Does anyone know whether to expect it to be insanely crowded?? :witch: :ghost: :Pumpkin: :Pumpkin2:

Big Thunder, I've been to DTD on Halloween before and it is not horribly crowded (at least it wasn't in years past). It is lots of fun to see all the little ones dressed up. The treats they are given are quite nice too!

For the older crowd, I have also heard that Pleasure Island will have some special entertainment (for the regular admission price) on th 30th and 31st.
The DTD events look really interesting--we are going to arrive on Oct 30th (in the afternoon), so this might be a really fun thing to do that won't cost any separate addmission.
The other thing I was thinking about was over at Ft. Wilderness--don't they have hayrides? (Or is it stagecoach rides?)

We planned on going to DTD the night of the 31st, just to relax and wind down from the drive, but we don't do the Halloween thing. Besides that, my DD is scared silly of all Halloween type things...ghosts, skeletons etc. Is it scary for them? I've already told her we would go there the 1st night, and explained some of the shops that are there, and she has locked it in to her agenda, so I'd hate to not take her, but I don't want to scare her either!

I'm so bad, I want my girls to get to t' or t' on Halloween night but I hate to take an evening away from a park. They are going to the Halloween party. Maybe that is enough. But then again, this DTD thing sounds really nice. May have to check it out.

BigThunder,
The beautiful thing is that they have the T' and T' on the 30th and the 31st--so, you could take them to DTD on the 30th so they wouldn't miss out on that aspect. :)
