 Am I being foolish if I opt not to take advantage of this and go to a different park other than the early entry one?

You know, everyone has a different way of touring the parks, what works for some wouldn't do for others, and eventually I think everyone finds their "groove." Having said that, I have found that early entry is invaluable when it's crowded, or when you have a LOT of things you want to accomplish in one day. It appears however, that you are going in December, which is typically a "low attendance" month (with the obvioius exceptions) and so you should be able to accomplish much of the things you set out to do on any given day. Furthermore, if you choose not to take advantage of EE, then I think it is a very WISE decision to avoid the park that is hosting it for that day. Crowds do typically tend to be more crowded on EE day, and avoiding that park will allow you to use your time wisely somewhere else....Whatever you do...HAVE A GREAT TIME!

I've made it to only one park opening so far--early entry hasn't been in my vocabulary yet. I'm at the wrong end of the time difference spectrum--it's earlier here that at WDW, which is great at night. Not wonderful for early mornings!

I've done Early Entry, and been very happy with it. Spent quite a bit of time with Mickey and just my little party of three!

Have not done Early Entry more often than not. I'm on vacation, right?

I have gone to the Early Entry park, well after opening (three hours or so) and never had a problem. Unless I want to do an Early Entry I don't usually pay attention to which park is hosting it.

Having said all that, time of year will make a difference. Particularly in whether or not you want to do Early Entry. If it is a peak time, Early Entry can be a real bonus.

Fast Passes help a lot though, so Early Entry isn't quite as critically important (during peak season) as it once was.

Enjoy yourself! That's the key. :ears:

I had to make my husband one promise when we started going to Disney. That was that I would not forget that we were on vacation. We go so often now that we never run to try to get everything done. We also never set an alarm to get up unless it is for a special breakfast. In summer it would be good to go early so you beat the crowds and the heat, but in December I wouldn't worry. Have fun.

I am interested in this Early Entry, presumably you have to be staying on disney property to take advantage of this. Does the resort you are staying at tell you which park has EE on which days and if so how do they advertise it??

Can you tell i've never done EE before!!! :D

See This Thread (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/hours.html) for early entry information.

Yep, that's essentially it. You must be staying onsite, and your resort will let you know which day and which park is hosting Early Entry. Simple as that! :D

Thanks everyone. I am hoping that my logic of letting everyone else attend the early entry parks and visiting another one will pay off. Time will tell!
