To those of you that have moved to a different resort during your stay, is it worth the hassel? For some reason lately I have been feeling as though I need to stay at a deluxe resort for part of my stay, even though I know it is an expense I don't need and we are rarely in the rooms to begin with excpet to change for a swim or afternoon nap, and to shower and sleep at night I feel as though I should splurge since I might not be coming back down for a few years. I thought the kids would like to have another special treat such as that even though I know we all love the decor and atmosphere of the AS Movies where we are currently scheduled to stay. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks! :D

Splitting your stay will be no hassle at all.
Just check out of where you are, call Luggage Assistance at ASM and tell them where you are moving to. They'll collect your bags. Go off and do whatever you are doing and return to check-in at your next resort. Contact the Bell Captain at the Deluxe and your bags will be bought to your room. (usually after 3, but this can differ)
It really is that easy.

We've split our stay before and are splitting it again during our Nov/Dec trip. It is really no problem and easily handled.

We always split our stay..it's the only way we can stay at as many resorts that we do! and we do the value and moderate resorts. I have YET to be able to afford a more expensive one..although we have stayed at the Disney Institute a few times. Loved it!
Go ahead! It's not hard, and it's so worth it!

I agree with everyone above. It is a nice way to try more resorts. It is also nice to change locations and be closer to a certain park. Our last stay we tried a resort near Epcot for a few days and then one right near MK for a few days.

I split one of my longer stays at WDW between a deluxe and All Stars. I couldn't get all the days I wanted at the Deluxe, so filled in the last few days with my first stay at the All Stars. It was fine!
I've since split any number of stays and have been happy with it each time. I would say that the stays at each resort should encompass three or more days to make the hassle of repacking and moving worth it, but that is my own personal preference.
It's a great way to sample more than one resort per trip.

I too split my holidays to Florida. Its too expensive for me to stay at a Disney Resort full time and I dont drive so I opt for a cheaper clean IDrive hotel initially and then 4 - 7 days at a Disney Resort - bliss!
