Sorry if I don't explain this very well but I was wondering is their a career path in Disney so that you can work up to top jobs - mouse keeping to the mouse sort of thing. :D
Ive often wondered if Mickey is considered a top job among cast members (which you can,on a promotional basis work up to or if all characters and jobs in the parks are considered equal.

Character selection is driven first by physical attributes. Mickey, Jimminy, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, all have to be fairly short people, eh? Thin legs are important too. So, no matter how long you've been there, if you are tall enough for Goofy, or Jafar, or Milleficient, you aren't going to be able to do Mickey.
I knew someone who played Mickey for five years. She was sometimes asked to fill in as one of the other characters, but that was only when Mickey wasn't needed, which doesn't happen very often!

I think it might be the same thing, except with different variations of the same character. Like
Starting Out = Mickey Mouse meet & greet
After quite some time = Mickey Mouse (Performing)
After some ungodly amount of time = Vintage Mickey Mouse (End of Fantasmic)
something to that effect.

What do you mean "played Mickey?" How can you play Mickey?

Just an odd choice of words, Dawn. Nothing to concern yourself about, ok?
Folks. You really do need to be careful what you write on these open boards. Some members are seriously true believers and are not going to take kindly to the hints and implications that the characters of WDW are anything other than the real deal, ok?

On the backstage tour we were only allowed to ask certain types of questions when we were 'off stage', so not to spoil any illusions :D
