I know, I know....I just got back Saturday & I already want to plan another trip for June 2005. We want to stay at a deluxe. I would loooove to stay at GF, but I don't know if we will be able to swing the cost. We did buy AP's so I am hoping for a discount. Does GF usually offer an AP discount code? If so about how much does a room run with it?

And just in case we can't swing it, where should what deluxe should we choose? I would be thrilled to stay at any of them. We are trying to pick something we have not yet tried. I think I would love Wilderness Lodge, but we may be able to afford that on a future trip when we may not have an AP. My DH would like to try Poly, I would like to try YC/BC. Any opinions?

I am not sure about the ap discount, but we stayed there last fall when they offered the fairytale package(pay for 4, stay for 7). They did a 5 for 7 this fall, maybe they will do that again.

Your best bet with discounts is either WL or more likley, AKL. AKL has some awesome discounts

Grand Floridian does have discounted rooms, however, I'd take a look into the historical pricing (like at Mousesavers or search here in the forums) to see if it's something you can practically do. Wildneresss often has fabulous rates.

If you're torn about the resort, why not resort hop between a couple of them? Disney will move your luggage for you, so it's check-out before you head to the park in the morning, and at the end of the day, check back into your next resort. Fairly painless!

Ooooh, I'd encourage you to stay at the Beach Club! It's wonderful and does sometimes have really nice AP rates.

Thanks...now for a really stupid question...what would I search for to find the historical prices?

As mentioned, mousesavers.com has a section on historical pricing or search the forum here. That said, I've stayed at the GF on an AP for $221.00 per night but that was for a Feb. stay. But it was a great rate. So they do offer them. BC is awesome too! I'd just ask what rates are available with the AP code at the GF when you call to book. They'll let ya know;) WL and AKL are almost always less expensive but WL even though it's a deluxe has much smaller rooms and no mini-bar so they aren't quite on the same level IMO. More like an upper level moderate room. They charge more than moderates because they have the ammenities moderates don't such as indoor corridors and room service and valet parking but the rooms themselves are no comparison.
