What kind of food does everyone pack and ship ahead of time? I'm trying to compile a list of things to have on hand instead of eating out.

one of the great things for me and my son ben was to go to publix and find lots of snax stuff they did not sell in the uk
we would then get loads for visits to the parks

We packed a small suitcase with fruit snack, trail mix, crackers, and cookies and checked the bag for our flight. Packed snacks from that suitcase in our bags for the parks each day and by the end of the week had an empty suitcase to bring all of our Disney goodies home in. It worked great!

I found a foldable, softcase travel cooler w/ wheels from the dollar store. It was small enough to fold it in our large suit case. We bought sandwich makings for lunches so when we were ready for a break, we went back to the hotel and ate. We also took snacks with us to the parks to hold us over for a little longer. Also, I was pretty tired of cokes and found at Wal Mart Lipton makes a plastic thing of concentrated tea. They come in flavors too/Sweet and Unsweet. All you had to do was add water. That lasted all week. We ate at the parks too but I think we balanced the budget out by eating in the room some days, especially when we were so tired.

take some cheese cracker things, and some chocolate chips, they're great energy helpers :)

I don't really ship goodies ahead, but I do go to the grocery store after arriving in Orlando and purchase a few items for breakfasts and snacks, as well as bottled water. It helps the budget just a bit! :)

if you like soda pack a small cooler, you can buy a six pack of coke for the price you pay in the park for a single. we usually pack individual chip bags, slim jims, cookies, just small simple snacks can save you a lot of money.

ah slim jims, maybe they are not avalible in the UK. A slim jim is a kind of beef jerky but instead of flat they are tube shaped, quite tasty.

Steve, for slim jims think pepperamis! and beef jerky is like our dog chews! LOL! the first time I saw them in USa for human consumption I was in fits...DH told me that they were not dog chews, but when he came to Uk I took him to our dog food section and said...see! dog chews! LOL! But a supermarket has started to sell them as snavks by their beer aisle..ahem, aJamie Oliver clue... and I bought one and it was a blinking dog chew I swear!

Exactly! pepperami!
Funny they are called the same in the Uk as here!
I would also suggest Ritz sandwiches, the small ones that have cheese in them.. yummy!!

You are cracking me up!! I didn't realize that Slim Jims were not international!
Definately stop by the store and browse the snack aisle, you'll find some great stuff for sure! Smuckers makes a peanut butter and jelly cracker pack, like the cheese and cracker pack, you smear the stuff on the cracker yourself, not a bad thing to bring.
You should try the dog chews, especially the teriaki flavor, or spicy too... Now what about pork rinds??

here we have something called prok scratchings that is pork skin made all crispy but they are quite fatty , i used to love them but must admit i have not had them for years i would imagine they are like pork rinds
as for the peanut butter things yuk
i hate that my son ben used to have peanut butter on toast for breakfast when we worked on the markets and the smell made me feel sick so he had to have his window open while he was eating them .

STEVE,
Are you allergic to peanuts? Just curious because my dd is allergic and she doesn't like the smell of peanut butter either.

Oh my goodness I love garlic so much and onions. All nuts and legumes trigger migranes for me.
