Family Portrait

Hi! I heard somewhere that Disney has professional photographers to hire for family portraits for at your hotel or on park property. I've called several Disney numbers and they don't seem to know what I'm talking about. :( They say they have Honeymoon and wedding photographers only. :wacko: So how do I go about finding someone to take a professional photo of my family of 7? Thanks!!!

Try checking with Guest Relations when you get there? Or, use one of the photographers in EPCOT or MK or AK or MGM Studios? They are usually in the main areas as you enter the individual parks.

maybe they are thinking of the the CM photographers - the ones who normally stop you just after entering the parks and offer to take a photograph of your group - to be purchased later in the day. The couple of times we have been to AK, the photographers were near the tree of life.

Yes the CM's will take your picture as you enter each park, and there are also other locations that will have a CM take a professional pic - like I know in MGM where you meet Mickey on Mickey Ave they will do it, and I believe they do it when you are in MGM and meet the Monsters Inc characters!

BaseballGirl121, you are right, Disney does offer this service. The department is called
"Disney Event Group Photography, Video & Creative Services".

You can contact them at 407-827-5099.

They do photography and video for weddings, conventions, honeymoon photography and family portraits anywhere in the parks.

If money was no object, it would be nice to have a family portrait drawn by one of the Disney artists but I don`t know how they would handle a family of seven!

Each time we stay at the GF, my DW and I always take a peek over the shoulder of the artist there when he has some "sitters" to compare the likeness. I must say these guys are really talented.

My family does the "old fashioned" photos. There used to be a place in DTD to get them done and I know there is a place in Old Town. Your dressed in old clothing and the photos are in black and white. They're awesome!

My favourite photo of Lois was taken by the park photographer as we entered Epcot in 2000. If I can get my scanner working i'll post it. :D

Not 100% sure Paula, but I vaguely remember a figure of around $75.

I`ts well worth it IMHO.
