Hi!

We are trying to do a budget for our Dec. trip and I need to figure out eating. Can anyone make suggestions for inexpensive places to eat? There will be 4 of us on the trip. My DS & DD are healthly eaters so the idea of sharing with them does not work. We will be spending full days in the parks and I do not want to eat hamburgers & chicken tenders for every meal.

Thanks!

You might look into the Q&C vouchers...not only can they work out to be a good deal, but they are also great if you are wanting to "budget" and have a lot of your meals paid for and out of the way before you go.

Also, will you have a car, and will you be traveling off of Disney property? This can make a huge difference in the suggestions you are likely to receive...

I've never heard of the Q&C vouchers, what are those? I heard about the voucher you can get for AK and was thinking of doing that.

We will not have a car this trip. We will only be there 4 full days so we want to spend as much time in the parks as possible.

Hi again Larua...I'm trying to find you a couple of links for the vouchers, but at the moment, with this "cookie" problem we're experiencing, the search engine is being a bit grouchy...

Hang tight one second and let me try again...

In the parks...`There are several places that serve a few deviations from the "norm." A few suggestions might be:

MK: Pecos Bills (AWESOME "fixin's bar" with sauteed mushrooms, onions etc.) Cosmic Rays (good salads, If I remember correctly)

AK: Flame Tree BBQ

MGM: You might check out the ABC Commisary (fish and chips, tabbouleh wraps, chicken yakitori, vegetable noodle stir fry, etc.)

Epcot: Try eating "around the world." They will probably less expensive than table service, and the choices they afford are EXCELLENT.

Ok, I found one link, it's not exactly the one I was looking for, but it will give you some sort of idea as to what they are...You can find it here. (http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23673&highlight=quick+casual+vouchers)

I'm sure some others will be along momentarily to give you a few other ideas on how best to budget...

One more bit of info...my family of four (myself, dh, and two kidlets) eat at the counter service restaurants frequently on our trips, on average, we find we spend anywhere from about 25 to 30 dollars per meal. That is with myself, dh, and my oldest child (12) usually buying "adult meals" while the youngest (6) remains content with the "kids meal."

In Epcot go to the counter service areas of each restaurant for an inexpensive meal and the portions are a good size

Take a look at the menus on this board you can find the link at the very top of this page
