I printed out lots of info on how to word a room request fax but DH says on our last visit (in 2002) he actually rang the resort and they were very helpful.
Do you think things have changed since then?
Does anyone have any recent experience of 'phoning or faxing? :writing: :Phoning:
Thanks. :)

I'd say go for both if it's something you really, really want...call and have it noted in your reservation and then a few days before you are scheduled to arrive, fax a request as well.

Thank you JM and mm. :)

Can't hurt to do both.
We had such a lovely room at Coronado last time DH was going to see if we could get it again. He thought maybe as it was my birthday while we are there they might try for me.

I would definitely call the resort 2-3 days prior to arrival and let them know exactly why you would like that room again.

:iagree: If you find the person helpful on the phone, do some 'smoozing' on the fax - thanking them for being soooo helpful and telling them how much you are looking forward to celebrating your birthday with them... etc.. etc.. Good luck getting what you want!
