Hi!

We are due to go back to WDW Florida in June 2005 but I suffer from motion sickness. I was able to go on Splash Mountain last year and be okay but I feel my wife is missing out as she loves to go on motion rides but she didn't want to go on without me.

I remember that most of the rides have the sickness warning but so did S.M. and I was okay.

Could some of you lovely people out there give me some kind of rating for the some of the rides?

On a 1 - 5 scale with 1 being for kids and 5 being for adrenaline junkies.

Thanks for any advice.

Neil

Well I def would not recomend you get on Mission to Space, or Rock and Roller Coaster, or Tower Of Terror.

Space Mountain is in the dark, and usually to become motion sick you need light to see what's moving around to confuse you. If you don't want to chance it though, then don't. :)

Tea cups are a no too.

My boyfriend suffers from motion sickness. He too loves Spash Mountain. He also does BTMRR. He does not do RnRC, ToT (Although he has after taking a pill), teacups, body wars, star tours, mission:space or Space mountain.... I think that is it....

Neil -ask me about the rides again when we get back from our trip in January. I went on BTTF on our last trip and it put me off going on anything else all trip - I have the same problem in that DH loves the rides and I feel guilty not going on them with him. It isn't that I am afraid of the rides, I am afraid of being sick
I even get sick on the push swings that you find in kids playgrounds. Anyway, this trip I am going to try out a few more rides after recommendations from members on this site. I am also going to try taking travel sickness tablets before the rides.

I have motion sickness, I was able to ride all of the mountains, dinosaur, test track and tower of terror with no problems. I did have problems with Star Tours, Body Wars and I had huge problems with Mission Space, I was basically out of commission for about 3 hours, I got extremely dizzy and weak and couldn't do anything for the rest of the morning. I wanted to try Rockin Roller Coaster, but everybody in my party was too chicken to try it with me so I don't know how that would affect me.

If you do ride Mission Space and get sick my suggestion would be to head over to Ellen's Energy something or another I can't remember the name, but I was able to just sit down and nap for the whole ride, which is pretty lengthy, it's a good place out of the sun for some recovery time.

I think it is more the simulator ones that cause the motion sickness problem.

Stay away from the Back to the Future ride at Universal, that made me ill!

Primeaval Whirl was one I was concerned about, but was actually fine.

Thankyou to you all!!

I am going to be a bit more adventurous next year. I'm going to try more rides rather than just saying "no" :nervous:

At least now I'm not taking such a big risk of being

:thanks: ...again!
