I'm going for a week, and I was wondering if waterparks were worth the time? And if so, what one is better?

I think so, if you like water parks. My BF and I went for 4th of July weekend and just did water parks (both TL and BB) we both like BB better

Depends on the weather, and BB is nice. It might be too cold though.

There is a good chance it will be too cold for me. For you, who knows :D

Wet & Wild is good if you like slides. But it can get crowded and there is no Disney-style theming so it can feel a bit like a concrete jungle.

i love both water parks, i love the pool at typhoon best but i think if i had to chose between the 2 blizzard would just shade it, cos it has more to do i think

I loved Typhoon Lagoon better than BB, but I was there in May, so I have no idea how its like in Feb. However I read a trip report book where the couple went down in Febuary and went to the water parks, so maybe the weather is nice enough.

d_dreamer we loved the water parks, we went one morning and stayed a few hours plentey of time for us i think my older kids liked BB better -- the lazy river :swim: they really enjoyed that. I did not go on the water slides they looked way to high for me I figuered once i got to the top well not a pretty sight :Panic: - i get scared on Peter Pan ride :rotfl: we did the water park on a day that we had a late night planned (MNSSHP) so the kids came back and took a  nap it worked out great. I am sure you would have fun!

When we went to DW in February 2002 the weather was beautiful and plenty hot enough for us, but I suppose it varies year to year. Absolutely loved Typhoon Lagoon and am looking forward to going next time. We gave BB a miss because both DD and I are complete wimps when it comes to anything remotely daring.

Each year both water parks have a time where they are closed for rehab. This year Blizzard Beach was the early rehab and TL is the late. Next year they'll switch. There is always one water park open

I preferred Typhon Lagoon, It was so relaxing :swim: . As well as the huge main pool with a fantastic giant wave machine and tropical beach area it also had loads of nooks and crannies with lots to see and do. Definitely more relaxing than BB or Wet and Wild.

*bump*

I would definitely say that going to a water park is well worth it. At water parks, parents can relax while the kids work off some of their energy. It's a great break about halfway through your vacation.

There's more for kids to do at TL than BB. BB has better slides and stuff, but the wave pool in TL is awesome. It's really funny to be sitting on the sides watching punk teenagers getting hit by the waves in the pool and doing flips underwater.

If you're looking for the biggest wedgie of your life, go ahead and try out Summit Plummet.

If I recall correctly, both TL and BB have "lazy rivers" in them. Very nice after a few days of working it hard at the parks.
