Hi,
We have never been to the Fantasmic show, I hear that it is very cool! We'll have our 4 yr old and 6 yr old along, with grandparents and are thinking about getting a PS for Fantasmic. We're going in early February, so is it necessary to get a PS, or would the lines not be very long?
Also, if we do get the PS, how does that work? what time is the show, and what times are the dinners? Can you go in, pick out your seats, then wander around the park until the show starts, or do you have to stay inside the 'theater' the whole time? Do you *have* to go in 45 minutes early? or can you go in 15 minutes before, since the seats are reserved for PS?? just trying to plan it all out, thanks!! I just can't see my kids sitting still for 45 minutes before the show, I can't see MYSELF sitting there for 45 mins!
****So, it sounds like we don't **have** to make a PS for Fantasmic in February, just get there about an hour early?? Can we have Grandma go in and save seats or do they frown at that? Is there a cost for just Fantasmic (without a PS)??
thanks for the help, this will be one less early phone call/PS for us!

I've seen fastasmic both with and without the package. I used the package in February and didn't in both September and May. The dinners are early. I haven't heard of a PS tim e being after 4 p.m. You get a ticket for each member of your party to go in an alternate entrance. Your told to head in 30 minutes prior to the show.

I've also done it both ways and in my experience it's not needed in loe season. I didn't make a PS for my 11/6 to 11/10 trip hope it's okay to go right in. I don't think there's really a bad seat in the house.

I agree that there is no bad seat in the house. I have only done it with the package. Our dinner times were around 4pm. After you are done dinner the waiter gives you a ticket to get you in the back entrance. It doesn't cost any extra over the price of dinner. You really probably don't need one though if you are going in February. Your kids will love the show. It is amazing.

:) We did Fantasmic without the package in Feb. of 2003, and had absolutly no problem getting into the show. We got there about 40 minutes before show time and got end seats in the middle right section about 2/3 of the way up without any problems. PS. The show truly is Fantasmic!!! :D

We have done both, both in the summer. Either works. Personally I preferred doing the PS as their is a sense of mystery going in the other entrance, which I'm sure you're kids would love. Since we go in the summer I think I would only ever do the package now..... it's not as if it costs any more :D

We saw Fantasmic in August, with a PS at Mama Melrose's. The food was good, and our PS was around 4:30, which we were taken right in for. We did not go in the Fantasmic reserved entrance until just after 8:00, so we waited less than half an hour I believe. Awesome show, and will be seeing it again in February, again with the package. Although, if the main entrance isn't too crowded, I might try it to get seats closer to the middle, as we were way off to the side.

We just did it last week (your kids WILL love it mine are 2 and 6 and they were spellbound!), we had package for hollywood and vine, it was great food and took the stress out of having to get there too early, our PS was for 4.30, so we madwe it a late lunch and had a huge breakfast to compensate!
You`re gonna love it ....believe me it totally incredible!

We went just last week, with no package. Got there abour 3/4 hour before the show was due to start and had seats about 4 rows from the front, right in the middle. It was a really fantastic show but also loved the mexican waves before the show started. It is a must-do show.

I agree about the Mexican waves, really added to the atmosphere. We were lucky enough to do Fantasmic twice on our last trip.
The first time we were about an hour early and were in the centre. For the Fantasmic package we were at the right of the stage. This didn't matter as there are 3 screens anyway, one on the left, one on the right, and one in the middle.
This is the view from where we were, you can see just how many people you can get in that arena!

..............a bit dark, but you get the idea.
I think Fantasmic has to be one of the best things at WDW.......
