Need advice on Assistance...

We'll be going in February with our kids but also our dear friend, she's about 64 and uses crutches to get around. She prefers walking to sitting (so no wheelchair) as it's a chronic back injury. So what type of assistance would be available to her? thanks!

Hi there, just wondering if you have been to Wdw before? Because the distances are huge even for people without a disability, still if you can manage fairly well don`t forget that the heat can make you flag abit. There is always somewhere to sit if you need to or you can rent a scooter/ecv for $40 and they give you back $10 when you return it. Just worried hun that you don`t realise how much walking there is. I know that there are alot of lovely people on these boards who may be able to help you better than I can. Hugs XXXXXXXX

I have been there before, and so has our friend (but on separate trips). She just got back from a trip in Canada where they walked about 3 miles a day (based on pedometer). She totally enjoys walking. But I'm worried about the crutches (they're more like walking aids I guess), will the attendants be able to hold on to them, and return them to us at the end of a ride? are there special lines for people with disabilities? what if we go to fantasmic, is there an ADA entrance, so she doesn't have to walk up the steps??

I don't know much about disabillities and special entrances. I do know that when you go in fantasmic you can sit all the way up top so she doesn't have to walk down the steps to the bottom.
Also, just to warn you when we went to fantasmic and went through the dinner pkg entrance it was a long walk. I am sure someone else will be able to offer you more info:)

There are some rides on which she will actually be able to take the crutches. In other cases, yes the CMs will hold on to them for her.
