Should I not watch Fantasmic! before I see it?

Having never been to WDW, it goes without saying (well, maybe not) that I've never seen any of the shows there. I've seen they have Fantasmic! and other show & parade videos online that you can watch. I want because I totally want to see them but then again I don't want to because maybe it would be better to have never seen it until I watch it live & first-hand and I don't want to spoil it. Thoughts from the veterans?

I vote for seeing it live too! :thumbs: It might give away some of the magic if you see on line first.

I pretty much knew that I should wait, I just wanted someone else to agree with me and keep me from watching them online. I'd hate to ruin or lose any magic of the show by watching it online before seeing it in-person for the first time. And you know what they say about your first time............... ;)

The other day while researching our vacation (yes, more research), I happened upon a long, written description of Fantasmic! and had to look away. My eyes started burning instantly!

Another vote for waiting to see it live and in person! I can still remember watching Fantasmic! for the first time! It was so incredible. I can not wait only a month(or so) until I go again! It is so worth the wait to see it live!

i did it different to your options i went on the backstage magic tour
before i had seen the show so i knew not onlt what was gonig to happen but how they did it

they even told you how mickey morphs into dumbo the flying elephant and flies over all the audience !!!

please tell where i can buy one and will it run ok on uk systems and finaly how much


on a linked topic i have a video of spectro magic i filmed from start to finish , it is my favourite event at WDW, and was gonig to show it to mandy but then like you i decided not too as it is far far better to see it live .

Steve, the Fantasmic CD is available most places at WDW. There's at least one shop in each park that sells the range of CDs, plus Downtown Disney World of Disney store. You can also most probably buy it from the carts near Fantasmic entrance. And yes, all CDs will work over here :thumbs:

PS...and we bought the CD this trip as well. Took me three stores to find one in stock, but then I saw it several more places during our trip.

I'm not sure to be honest. At one of the shops at DD there is a computer program where you can type in the name of the CD you want, and they tell you if it's available and where you can get it from.

They did seem to have most of the shows though......

Thanks for all your advice. It seems to be unanimous: wait and see it live so my 1st time to see Fantasmic! will be with everyone at the dessert party. If I or the DW start crying, you can try and console us with more chocolate! LOL :)
