I am so excited. We just booked an unexpected trip to Disney. We are staying 9 nights starting Dec. 18th. We are having a hard time deciding when to go to Magic Kingdom, etc...... Does anyone have some advice? :rotfl:
Thanks

During Christmas...Magic Kingdom is always the most crowded park, well, at anytime it's the most crowded park. So I suggest you go when it's NOT the Extra magic Hour opening day. It gets REALLY crowded on those days. Try going on Saturday, cos that's when most people are checking in or out of hotels. Other than that, I say, go, have a great time, especially since you'll be there for 9 nights! You've got multiple choices on days.

Check the park operating hours schedule for nights when SpectroMagic and Wishes are shown. I'm thinking Wednesday and Saturday, but look at it to be sure. I'm not home and don't have my research stuff with me.
Saturday tends to be busier, but if they show SpectroMagic twice, you can go on rides during the first showing, then watch the second one when it's a tad less crowded. And I do mean a tad!
And rather than rushing out of the parks with everyone else, take your time and enjoy the atmospher of Main Street.
If it's in the budget, try to schedule one night at MVMCP--it's fun! :)

:) :) If it's Christmas at WDW, any day is a good day to visit Magic Kingdom or any other park for that matter!!! :D :D

When I was there for Christmas 2001 for Christmas Day we booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour cause we knew that day would be busy. Then we hopped over to Epcot after the tour. If Epcot still has it plan to see the Santas around the world it was fun.

I'm going with musicmixer on this one <G>
I think it's easy to overthink this stuff and stress about it.... all the parks will be busy over christmas, so enjoy the atmosphere and just go whereever you feel like! If it REALLY turns out to be so busy that you're not enjoying it, hop on a bus and go to another park (admittedly, this assumes you have a ticket that allows you to park hop)

Thanks. I am hoping to visit more than Magic Kingdom. I would love to get passes....however for the 6 of us it is quite costly. We are staying at Old Key West with my aunt (It is her vacation club). She may be able to get us a room for a couple of nights at the Contemporary. I can hardly wait.
