Photo pod/ Color ipod

I went to the Apple store yesterday for DS's bday and fell in love.. they had the new color ipods that you can use as a digital wallet. It was truly gorgeous. *sigh*

Has it been released in the UK yet? I didn't realize it was coming out, but there was very little learning curve for me (which is sometimes very steep! :D )

Weirdly enough this one was rumoured for months and months but then when it launched there was no big fanfare or anything it just "appeared"

One thing I thought when I read about it.... hoping I'm wrong but, you can't just attach a camera to it say on holiday and have the photos transfer :/ you need something like a belkin card reader and THAT attaches to the ipod to get the photos in there in the first place. If true, it's a real shame they didn't come up with a better way.

I tried yesterday - that would have been cool, wouldn't it. I think it has to do with their agreement with Belkin. I'm sure the second version will have direct firewire capabilities. They'll be stupid not to do it.

Still not a good enough reason for me to keep me off the iPodwagon. :D I'd love to have it with me in December. ;)
