Just a heads up guys. I was at my local Wal-Mart last night buying a new camera and cecking their printing prices. They're 0.24 a print up to 50 from the same card. Anything over 50 is 0.20. They also burn up to 100 pictures onto a CD for $2.74. I'm sure that price will vary from store to store, but Wal-Mart's prices are pretty consistant, so I wouldn't expect to pay anything over $4.00 if you go to Wal-Mart.

ok so I have a silly question. How do you get your pictures to Wal-Mart? Do you take the memory card there? And if you want to print a picture out, how do you do that?

Be kind....I am technologically challenged

OK. Just because I want to outdo Johnie in the technologically challenged deparment :D

If I want regular film photos burned to a CD, can I have them do that? Develop the film and create a CD at the same time? Would that cost a ton extra, being film and not digital?

It's usually a few dollars more than the cost of developing Tink but it can be done, no problem :D

If you are going to wal-mart watch out for the Kodak machine. They charge 36c per photo.

I know that this was posted ages ago but I'm a new member!!!

Thanks for the tip - I'm going to be a bit blonde now but what format do the pic's come in and has anyone done this whilst on hols got home only to find that it dosen't work in their PC?????

I'm just worried after a friend of mine bought a video of her on some ride in i-drive and found that they couldn't play it in their video at home in the UK because it was US format! (I know that is v. dumb! but I think the excitement got the better of her) I'd hate to wipe all my precious pics off my memory stick to get home and find they are not on the disk or I cant get to them!

Thanks

Abi

I am told Abi, that cd`s use a universal format.
Videos [vhs] and DVD`s are a different issue, as they use a different format to the UK system.

The machines are really user friendly for media cards.. You can view your photos before selecting them to print and it saves you wasting photos which may not be needed

abi

pictures on a cd will come burnt on it as a jpeg which has the most compression unlike bmp files, which are enormous compared, cd's, which is as terry says universal :) but a dvd from the US is region 1, we on the other hand use region 2 in the UK, unless of course you have a multiregion dvd player, then it will play all formats:D i've not tried a region 1 dvd on my pc though so i dont know about that sorry :D

Ref region 1 you can also decode your dvd player (codes available on the web). However, re computer DVD players I'm not to sure if there is a programme that can change the region.
