Can we charge meals? Leaving Friday.

Leaving this Friday for the world. Trying to decide on how much cash we need. Assumed all along that we could charge with the room key in the park, but apparently Shades of Green does not participate. Do the restaurants inside the park accept Master Card? If not how can we find out which one's do and which one's don't. Thanks.

No idea about SoG but 99% of everything around disney takes the room keys.. it's THAT good.

There was once some stalls selling turkey legs and so on that didn't take them but even those when I tried last year had machines or sent you next door to pay at a stall that did have. I suspect there's still some around so cash for those is useful.

Restaurants in the parks accept the room key too but yep, they all take mastercard too. It's just "not a problem".... grab a little cash for emergencies and that's all that's needed

The park does not accept room keys from Shades of Green for charging which was a surprise to me since they are on Disney property and share all the other privileges such as transportation, early entry, and package delivery to the hotel. I confirmed this with them this morning. Just wanted to make sure good old American plastic is accepted in the park at the restaurants.

Anyway, you're still fine because everywhere accepts visa/mastercard too. Still keep just a bit of cash for the odd stall that might not, but other than that, yep, all the restaurants/shops etc do.

I'd be so much richer after a vacation if Disney didn't accept my credit card. They accept just about any credit card....I know...I've done that.. :cry: :lol:

Even the Food and Wine Festival booths are set up to accept credit cards! :D

We charge nearly everything. I think there might be some of the smaller stands that only sell sodas and water that do not take plastic, but nearly everything else does take plastic--including the counter service restarants. If you have to have some cash, though, there are ATMS located conveniently everywhere including inside the parks and at SOG, too. :)
We generally take very little cash with us (maybe $200.00-300.00 )--we figure if we need more, we could go to an ATM.
