We have PS for the Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot. Wondering if anyone has been there and how it was? Is there a better place to sit or do the characters move around a lot so no matter where you are it is a good place?

Thanks!

We went last year and had a great time. The characters came round several times while we were there. Mickey came at least 3 times and we couldn't turn around without Chip or Dale appearing.

Echo Dawn's sentiments...have been several times for the "Ice Cream Social." Seems to be particularly good interaction with the characters...and it's fun "rotating." Have fun!

We enjoyed Garden Grill. Food is Turkey, Pork, mashed potatoes and..............VEGETABLES!!! Yay!!! It's served Family Style i.e. they bring skillets to the table and you all help yourself and can ask for more if needed. Loads of Character interaction.
A pleasant time was had here. :D

Oh yeah, I'll second that VEGETABLES. One of the few places we automatically got veggies for the kids to eat. And loads of them.

:iagree: nowhere bad to sit. Mickey came and sat at the table for a while and DS gave him a huge hug

We went a couple of years ago and had a great time. The food at that time was fine and they kept bringing refills. The characters spent a long time with us and kept coming back and sitting wiith us, playing noughts and crosses with DD and generally playing around.

I did the ice cream social here for my birthday a couple of years ago and even though it was just my BF and I we got tons of attention from the characters (including Mickey taking my camera and giving it to the table next to us for them to take a shot of all of us)

Keith, you didn't read any of my trip reports :(

Just kidding! I've given the Ice Cream Social rave reviews several times! It's held in the late afternoon (3pm or so). It's $6.99 per person and Farmers Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale are there. It's never been packed when we go and we get TONS of attention. One of the best deals on property IMO

:iagree: the ice-cream social is fab. It's a great opportunity to meet the main mouse (wearing his jeans for a nice change of photo), pluto and the chipmunks :D The ice-creams are HUGE though!

It's not Gourmet Keith, but it's a good family atmosphere. Not too loud, not too quiet.
I can't think of anything bad to say about it.

Our server got really stroppy when we accidentally forgot the gratuity.

I remember reading that in your encyclopedic trip report

I'm gonna have to try it I think... just need to remember a ps, over the years I've had good luck walking up to most places and saying "any room at all for anytime today" but garden grill *always* says no.

Thanks everyone for the imput! Sounds like we should have a great time. We have late reservations on Tuesday so it shouldn't be too busy. Anyone heard how the crowds have been so far this month?

hi, we went 2 weeks ago, we ps`d while we were there, it was to be our last dinner at disney, and it was the best!!!, so fantastic! our server was great he bought us a big skillet of catfish, beef, pork and chicken, with loads of lovely veggies, oh we also had big salad and fresh rolls, the sald had mickey shaped cucumber in it, th characters were great fun, the kids had made paper masks out of the napkins and chip and dale went off with the masks to scare the other tables, the fact that the tables on the outside face outwards means you feel like you`re not sharing the restaurant with anyone, everything felt so personal, they even had little tin watering cans with crayons in them for the kids, the apple pie after was GORGEOUS, the kids had worms in mud!, 6 of us went, and 6 of us loved it!!!

We ate there last year as part of our Candlelight Processional package. The dinner was nice- although not what I would say "the best", but we did enjoy the time there.
