Hi. Can anyone recommend somewhere we can eat "big steaks" at WDW or nearby? This is my big sons one request as far as dining goes while we are in WDW. As I am paying I'd prefer somewhere wonderful and cheap!
Thanks:)

There are lots of steakhouses at WDW and in Orlando. If your looking for chains, think of Outback, Roadhouse Grill and the like. Yachtsman or Lecelliar at WDW are good choices. The Yachtsman or Lecelliar question was recently debated and can be found here (Yachtsman or Lecelliar )

I vote for either Yachtsman steakhouse just outside epcot at the yacht club or possibly shulas steakhouse at the dolphin. Neither are cheap but both are really good

LeCellier in Canada is my favorite :eat: in WDW followed be Yatchman's.
Outside of WDW? Logan's, there is one on US192 at the Intersection with I-4. We (co-workers) go there often  .

What are we talking about when we say a "BIG STEAK"?

Just a warning....Shula's was really good but really pricy. We are going to give Yachtsman a try on our next trip since I heard really good things about it.

 The Concourse Steakhouse (Contemporary) possibly may be a bit cheaper than Yachtsman or Shula's but, I am sure the quality is a bit less also?

Thanks for your replies everyone.
As to what size steak I don't really know weightwise but I think DS has a kind of mental picture of a steak as big as his plate!!
Realistically I think I'm going to have to be thinking about somewhere offsite. All the places you mention sound great but pricey as there are 6 of us. So how are some of the offsite places?
I've read the mixed reviews for the buffet places like ponderosa and sizzler, but how about any dedicated steakhouses?
:)

If you want steak, do not go to ponderosa or sizzler. heck, I wouldn't eat at either ever but that's just me.
Offsite steak, Outback is a good choice. My BF loves their t-bone. I usually get lobster tails there.

(I agree with JM ref Ponderosa/Sizzler.. :) )
Outback is a very popular chain restuarant. We love to go there for a steak dinner. Just to let you know: some of their selections while delicious, are a tad bit spicey. Here is a link to their menu using 32830 zip code. (it is a PDF file)\ (http://www.outback.com/ourmenu/pdf/C107.pdf)

Since Outback is so popular, you will often find a wait to be seated unless you get there real early. A new option that is available is their Call Ahead Seating which I would especially recommend with a party of 6. :)

My vote goes to LeCellier. Although, we found it to be a little bit pricey but well worth the money.
