Going to go Disney Quest for the first time in a couple of weeks. What should we expect(no kids)? How long should we plan on being there and what do you recommend we do?

Thanks

Well, it's a huge place, but I've not ever been inside.

I'd go early in the day (especially if it isn't raining) and try to do everything that appealed to me! The evening will see more people there (as the parks close, and as teens make their way their).

There are floors and floors of games, so be prepared to spend quite some time there.

If it is raining, consider going another day. The place gets jammed.

Bring a bottle of water if you plan on doing DDR or the Boxing game! (Wonderful Workouts)

Sorry to "cut" into your thread---when you pay the admission for Disney Quest do you have to pay for anything else once inside? We also have 4 kids-ages 6-18 years-is there enough to keep them entertained to justify the cost of admission?

we went last time 2001 and it was great
my 14 year old spent hours and hours in there every day

i was not bothered about going in but gave him a lift in and said to my wife i would be back in 1/2 hour that was 6 pm
he talked me into going in with him and we both got home at 12 midnight !!!
we never go bored

we did not have to pay for anything else while in there there is a bit where you can go on the internet too.

I think there are a few games that you can pay for (they have prizes) but there is so much else to do, that you won't need to do that, unless you choose.

Candyman, that's exactly what my relatives who have gone there tell me! You lose track of time and just have fun, fun, fun!

I would say the older kids will have a super blast, but I'm not too certain about the younger ones? Do they enjoy video style games and virtual reality style games?

The youngest (age 6) is a little girl and really doesn't like video games where as the boys aged 8-18 years love them! Downtown Disney/Disney Quest sound like a good possiblity for our first night-boys at Disney Quest-girls shopping! :D

We were there for a few hours. But beware of arriving early in the day, you may want to get a head start like we did. We arrived at 10 am........it didn't open till 11am! :D

I have a detailed report of it in my trip report (link in my signature) if you would like some more info.

There is as far as I noticed, but the wife complains I am blind anyway ! :hehe:
And you're right, you do not want to miss what I know about that you say you do'nt know about. But it did seem to startle a little girl who was in the elevator with us, the wife said they should warn you, but that would kill the surprise now would'nt it, which I am ok saying because I was forewarned about it.

I can't think how it would startle anyone, and I am a total wimp......good grief, perhaps theres someone worse than me :)

As far as I remember there was only one lift.....and no exit, it is so hard to get out of that place, I think we only found the exit by good luck rather than good judgement :D

We can always do Disney Quest in one-half day. The only thing I remember you pay extra for is some of the games (I forget what floor that was on) that you have to buy tokens to play and then you win tickets - it is like Chucky Cheese games.

The only long wait that we had was for the Pirates of the Caribbean adventure - which was really cool. It is my DD favorite thing.

They also have something where you can make your own music CD and of course you pay extra to purchase your CD. My DD was not interested in that part at all. They really do have lots of games and stuff. We usually go to dinseyworld twice a year but we do not always go to Disney Quest. Personally, it is something that I do not mind to miss. I would much rather be in the parks!
