I just read a thread that mentioned a view of the electric water parade from the beach at the Wilderness lodge. I happen to be staying at the WL Dec. 9th-14th.

What is said parade? I guess it's not a parade if it's on water, so what is this thing? Is it worth working in to my already full itinerary? thanks for the tips!:overhere:

If so, what is the best way to view it?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...let's hope so...

Hmmmm looking for an "official" definition, but until I can find it (or make one up myself) click here (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/photoewp.html) for a few pictures...

You can also do a search on the message boards for EWP or Electric Water Parade and probably come up with loads of good information as far as best place to watch etc...

Your best bet would be to go to the TTC from where you can take the monorail to either the Poly or the GF from where you will get a good view of the EWP.

I saw it from the Poly beach a couple of nights ago and it was the best view I'd had of it & sound was great too. :)

Does anyone know what time this parade starts?
We have a meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe PS for 6:40pm
I'm wondering if I should make it a little later so we can finish up right about time for the parade. Any input?

It usually starts at the Poly at around 9.00pm.
It then goes to the GF around 15 mins later. After that it`s the Contemp, before heading over to WL...so you should have loads of time to see it.

I wonder if we should make a later PS. I don't want to sit around and wait.
I suppose there will be plenty to look at while we wait.

If you haven`t been before, the WL is good for just wandering around and taking in the atmosphere of the place. Also, down by the lake you can watch the "geyser" erupt every so often. Loads of people congregate there to see it, which should help to pass the time before EWP.

PS I gave you a bit of duff info earlier!
I`ve copied the following from elsewhere on this site:~
"Watch the Electric Water Pageant from the beach at one of the MK resorts, times may vary but are usually -- Polynesian - 9:00pm, Grand Floridian - 9:15pm, Wilderness Lodge - 9:35pm, Fort Wilderness - 9:45pm, Contemporary - 10:05pm."

I`d almost got it right!

This will be perfect for finishing off our wedding day. Our reception is in GF where would we go to watch?

The boat dock by Narcoosee`s is the best vantage point at the GF.
Take some insect repellant though as this is a good meeting place for mosquitos!

So could we just turn up at the Poly to watch this or would we really have to eat there. If we do eat there beforehand, do we have to book?

You don`t have to eat at the Poly [or any other WDW resort for that matter]. You can just turn up to have a look around any of the resorts.
I`ts really in Disney`s interest to encourage this as you could be a potential guest for them.

You could valet park, or you could obtain a pass for a 3 hour stay from the security guy at the resort.

PS Welcome to the boards by the way!

We went to watch it this past year at the Wl and we were late, we were sitting there waiting for something to happen, but it never did!
