The Golden Corral buffet on I Drive is excellent, good food at a really good price :)

You are going to be crushed by the masses if you try to dine in a place that does not accept reservations.

Golden Corral is on 192 (there are several others, too) but if you want to dine at one, I'd recommend going to the one on Vineland (just off SR 535) near the Premium Outlet mall. It is much nicer, the food selection is greater, and the food is better prepared.

Ponderosa, Sizzler, etc. all are inexpensive. If you like Chinese there is a buffet on 192 near where you are staying, or you can go to International Drive (heading for Beltz, cross over Kirkman) to Bill Wong's.

Really, no matter where you go, it's going to be jammed.

Lots of our UK fans seem to like Golden Corral. Personally I wouldn't touch it with a t 10 foot pool especially on Christmas Day.

The one near the Premium Outlets isn't too bad, John. I've had dinner there a time or two and the food, although fairly plain, is nicely prepared.

But that's about the only one I can say I'd eat in. The others are downright gairy.

Dinner for ten has got to be a challenge though, so a fairly inexpensive buffet does seem sensible. :)

The Renaissance By Sea World comes highly recommended. They have a buffet format and I think its about $20 a head.

We did have a table booked there for Christmas Day, but decided on the Yachtsman Steakhouse instead.

I didn't think the Golden Corral was bad at all...why don't people like it?

Some of them are worse than others, Jenna. I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I don't much care for it because I don't like that type of food. Much of it is breaded and fried, the vegetables tend to be over cooked, the food in general tends to be too salty, but not seasoned with much else. I just don't think it is very good quality. :(

But, as you've pointed out, you like the one on I-Drive and I've found the one near Premium Outlets to be ok. I'm not saying it's a favorite place to dine, but if I'm with some folks who want to go to a Golden Corral, I will agree to go to that one.
