I just booked the spirit of aloha dinner show for our December vacation. The price tag was a steep (I feel) $122 for two adults and one child. I would like to know if this is a must see show, and anyones general feelings about the spirit of aloha dinner show. Thanks

Is that the show at SW? If it is, we did it three years ago and were somewhat disappointed. (Obviously it may have changed now!) The room was very dark and dingy, food was average and entertainment very tame. It just wasn't what we had expected. We were in the front so DH and DD were included in the show (dancing and playing drums etc.) but if they hadn't been I think we'd heve been quite bored! I love Hoop de Doo, Cirque du Soleil and even Medieval Times but this one.....? A definite thumbs down from us! Much better things to spend your hard earned $122 on.
But then that's just my opinion.....
Could even be a different show I'm talking about!!

It's the Disney equivalent of the luau at sw....
It's perhaps better but basically the same kind of thing. Sorry to say I don't think it's worth the price :( poor food and mediocre entertainment but it's just one guy's opinion! I REALLY think the hoop dee doo is much better all round

IMO, it isn't worth it. I would definatly do the Hoop Dee Doo though. If there was a choice between the two, Hoop Dee Doo is more worth the $$ Starters we weren't crazy about the food at Aloha. The entertainment wasn't bad but also wasn't worth the $$.

We did this show in Oct this year. I asked this question before we went too & got responses both loving & hating it. We came to the conclusion that it was something you really have to decide for yourself, so we went for it. We really liked the food (except the dessert, it was a very cool presentation but did not taste good), but the show was merely ok (except the firedancer he was really good). We were not disappointed we tried it. It was a very unique experience, but I don't ever care to do it again.
On the other hand, we have never tried Hoop-dee-do, but have heard nothing but great things about it. I know I would probably rather try the Hoop-dee myself.
