I have been using smiley central but having put in Giant antispyware it found a lot of issues with it. Has anybody any thoughts on these smilies and the adware etc that comes with it and is there a better site that doesnt bring so much rubbish in with it?:(

I used to use it but uninstalled it because of the spyware. :(

Jo has a smiley for every occasion right here now anyway!

I argued with one of their "supporters" about this awhile back.. they scream and shout and say it's not spyware at all. Welllllll ok, they apparently don't report back saying Dave is reading this/that site etc.. but it does track what you do so that it can deliver ads/directed web searches etc to you. It also tends to slow machines down and can be the source of many icky crashes.

My thought on it is don't install it in the first place because it's not always easy to get all of the components to de-install later... but see http://www.pchell.com/support/smileycentral.shtml for details

Have y'all ever googled the word 'smilie' and seen what comes up in the images category? I find all sorts of neat ones that way, and just grab the image.
