We were in april for almost 2 weeks last year. One week we were fine without any sweaters. I don't know what happened (maybe a cold front) but in the mornings and evenings we wore sweaters and still felt cold.
It did warm up in the afternoons I do recommend packing sweaters just to be safe. You can always leave it in the hotel if you don't find it necessary to wear it. I am there april 10th and will be taking one.

I've planned in quite a few days at the water parks......do you think it will be too cold to go?

Have worn nothing but shorts/t shirts on my last 2 visits in April weather has been great. Also visited the water parks each visit, plenty warm enough.

And plan on getting the same weather this year:rotfl:

April is mostly quite warm and nice with few rainstorms. However, as Bambi said, a stray cold front can come through and disrupt things a bit. You would be wise to bring a light jacket, or sweater of some sort, just to be safe. Or, buy one in the parks if you like! :D

I'm sure you will be able to enjoy the water parks. Keep an eye on the weather when you are here (local station or the national weather station, or noaa).

We went to the pools in the afternoons it was warm enough. Just the mornings I felt cold and in the evenings. You'll be fine with the water parks. Picture below is taken second week in April 2004 girls were in jackets and most people in the crowds also (morning) By the afternoon we were in the pool. You'll be safe with the water parks don't worry.
Hope the pictures aren't too large in this post. If so let me know Tink and I can remove them.
