I've been shooting round various Disney Forums in a reading only capacity for a couple of years and have decided to whack my bit of good news (which will hopefully be good for someone else) into a couple or 3 that have helped me the most.

First a small story (if you dont want it just skip to the red deal info below). Myself and my girlfriend were looking for an xmas holiday because her grandmother passed away a couple of months ago and she didnt feel like doing a family thing this year because it would be her first xmas without granny. So we started looking through expedia for deals and came across a doozy sometime in October. Dec 18th to 26th flying British Airways and staying at the Swan - total was around £1300 ($2460 ish) TOTAL which we thought was amazing and it was cheaper than anything else on or around those dates.

While we sorted out finances I kept checking back to see if the holiday was still there and every time it came up. Finally we go to book it and everything goes well until we click the final button and it comes up that there are no seats on the flight selected After a call to expedia (because same flight was offered for about 20 other hotels with same result at the end) they said it was that price AGES ago and the flight had been increased individually but not the flight + hotel deals.

We started to trawl through charter flights and hotel deals and were doing OK but the thought of losing out on the expedia deal made Claire take another quick look on there one day. A whole new flight had appeared that hadnt been there before and could take us between 20th and 27th staying at the Swan again for £1218 ($2300 ish) TOTAL. The sweat that poured from us in the minutes that followed would have filled the moat around Cinderella's castle. The deal actually wenth through this time and it is flying on BMI who are even better than British Airways because there are seatback TVs and 3 more inches of legroom :luck:

The deal can be found at expedia.co.uk and is flying from Manchester (previous one was Luton and we can get a free ride to Manchester so better yet again)

There are cheaper options (such as the dolphin which is around £50 less I think) or even further off site where you can payy less than £1000 for 2 people.

The BMI flights by themselves for 2 people are £1307 for 2 people so we are actually saving nearly £100 by booking hotels as well.

I might just be being a bit over the top here but that price seems to be a great deal less than anywhere else and even though its not a Disney Hotel it is smack bang in the centre of everything and thats what you want when the busses are gonna be so crowded at Xmas. Boardwalk/MGM/EPCOT 5-10 mins away in all directions by foot.

I hope someone else spots this and can make use because its exactly the kind of offers I have always searched for and this year has been the year to find it.

UPDATE: Price has now increased to £1,919.65 so we truly did get a bargain - woohoo!

Makes it even better that we have got it so close to the leaving date cos now we can get excited straight away and not feel like idiots dancing round 6 months before we go away.

Good on you! The same thing happened to us this year as well when we went in the summer. There was a problem with the site, and we made the most of it, and got a pretty great deal to Disney for 10 nights :D
