I was wondering if afternoon tea at GF is worth it? I'm thinking my mom would just love it. Do you have to wear something different, you know, something a little nicer?

I enjoyed it and haven't actually heard a bad word about it, some people do dress up and if that would make you more comfortable then do it, we went there in jeans and trainers after a day in the parks however and noone batted at eyelid.

if one would like to try here (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/menugfat.html) one will find last Octobers menu

visit this page (http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28845&highlight=garden+view+lounge) , scroll down to bottom where Joanne has put lots of bits and pieces about it

i had the grand tea, Jon the prince edward and the kids had Mrs Potts, really cute as they put chocolate milk in the tea pot and strained it for them!!!

while not cheap - it was about $75 for the four of us it was a serene experience with good service and definitely worth it. The GF is lovely to visit and walk around. I believe it does get booked up quite quickly as there are limited tables and times.

big tip for you though, don't go on the tea cup ride in MK after eating the Grand Tea

Sounds Great. Need to fit this into the schedule for next year. But they will need to take us in our shorts!

Even my 37 year old brother who is the "grumpy" one went and had coffee and strawberries and cream! Mom and I loved it (except for the salmon tea sandwiches!). I would love to go again and even have a special tea cup to practice with.

I highly recommend it...
