Has anyone stayed in conceirge at the Contemporary? How was it? We stayed at the Poly conceirge last year & it was great. Was going to stay at the GF but it seems too stuffy - lol. Comments please!!!!!!!
Thanks!

The Contemporary has two levels of concierge - light offerings to more full service. I have not stayed there, but visited fairly often. The location is wonderful.
Have you visited the Grand Floridian in person yet? I used to consider it 'stuffy' as well, however, now think of it as welcome as my Grandmother's house - a bit victorian, but as welcome as a warm hug. I highly encourage you to give it a try. This old Yankee loved 'hanging out' there quite a bit last week, and the staff is wonderful.

Wanna check and see how much it costs PA and then make a ressie and meet at WDW?
No never mind, they'd have us move to Pop Century or All Stars cos we'd be too rowdy.

We have stayed in concierge at both Poly and
GF sugar loaf. The Poly was better. I have not heard great things about concierge at the contemporary. I probably wouldn't want to spend the extra money because it wouldn't measure up to the Poly. I would like to try concierge at AKL though.

I almost forgot. We really enjoyed the GF stay overall. We were there with a 2 year old and a 5 year old and didn't find it at all stuffy. The pools were really nice too. We just didn't find the concierge staff as helpful and the desserts at the Poly with the wine couldn't be beat.

I agree that you won't probably be happy with concierge at the Contemporary after the Polynesian. The 14th floor concierge, that is the full concierge, doesn't have many regular rooms, mostly suites. The 12th floor concierge is only open from 7am-4pm with a continental breakfast and some snacks, no evening offerings

what is the difference in cost to a regular room?
And also, are there any AP discounts for concierge ever?

The regular tower room (not fair to compare concierge prices with garden wing rooms)
in value season is $345.00 per night plus tax
Tower club (12th floor) is $405.00 per night plus tax
14th floor concierge is $495.00 per night plus tax

I knew it was high...especially after hearing what Samantha Brown paid for her Consierge room at AKL. This would be something to do after you've SAVED a bunch and maybe stay for a couple of days. That's what I'd do..then call bell services and move us to a Value resort for the rest of the stay :lmao:

We would love to stay Concierge for just 1-2 nights at AKL so that we could take advantage of the Sunrise Safari.
We stayed Concierge in the main building of GF (Free Upgrade) and except for them being able to take care of Donna's dress and make us a PS on short notice we weren't impressed.

Yes, that Sunrise Safari is what I'd love to do! Except the start earlier than sunrise..I know people have to get up at 0 dark thirty just to make the shuttle on time!
