Are the Turkey Legs any good? Well are they worth spending $5 or more dollars on them?

I think they are good. Our family typically splits one being that they are so expensive.

That's a personal call.
I'll eat them but I find them only tolerable.

They smell a lot better than they taste IMO

They are an ok value, especially if you share. But they are only a value if you like them.

I personally hate the tough old things. :( They do taste like ham. Part of that is the brine they are soaked in and the smoked method by which they are cooked.

If I wanted ham, I'd buy it.

I find them salty, greasy and tough.

I didn`t like them because they tasted like smoked ham and I don`t like smoked ham, smoked bacon etc, but it was moist and my DD loved it. So you`re going to have to try it for yourself...but share because they are way too big for one person.

I would never even touch one of those so called turkey legs. So they taste like ham, not chicken. I think [ nothing against anybody who like them ] the people who eat them kind of look like Fred Flinstone. This is the USA and that is your right if you want them.

I like them but they do indeed smell better than they taste. I'm really wishing that they had real turkey legs instead of the smoked ones. This last trip I had neither a turkey leg nor a Mickey Ice Cream Bar. :(

So they arn't as nice as they smell look or as they show them on the disney programmes? I never got one when I was on holiday but I'm sort of glad about that after reading all your comments. kay

We weren't too keen on them either. Too greasy for us, plus after working over christmas in the restaurant was sick to the back teeth with turkey :D

Loved the big pretzels though, ate them almost everyday

We love the turkey legs!! We always get them when we go to Disney - as others have said they are big and we usually share one.

We also always get one of the giant soft pretzels at Animal Kingdom. But of course, the kids always have to have Mickey ice cream bars or the dole whip.:p

They're ok but not like turkey at all...as others have said they taste like ham.
But ok for a snack at the parks when you're feeling a bit peckish.
As you can see in this picture...

I'm with JD, I love the turkey legs a RenFest! I'll grab one at WDW if I'm in the mood, but that's not very often. I personally prefer when DH fries a turkey..then I'll snarf down a leg in no time flat!

Ilike them, although I do agree they smell better than they taste.

If I were you, I would give them a try, except buy just one ans SHARE, they are GIGANTIC!!! ... between two people, we couldnt even finish one, and we were VERY hungry!

I think it may be something you have to try...I thought they were yucky and they did taste and have the texture of ham....too salty! Glad I bought the hot dog with mustard and onions at the same time :)

Finally got to have one on this years trip. :eat: Made the mistake of buying one for myself whilst others had hot dog. Enjoyed it but far too much for one person - good value snack though
