Our first vacation to WDW next May will be for 14 nights, and there'll be just 2 adults.

We aim to sample a range of restaurants whilst in the World. My research shows there to be so many restaurants to choose from, so for those that have been there what are your top 5 recomendations (and therefore which ones should we ensure we have a PS for!)? We like a wide range of food so that's not a problem, and would like to sample restaurants in different areas of the world - e.g. different parks, even different resorts if it is worth hopping to them>

Many thanks :D

What a tough question! Disney has so much to choose from. Here are the ones I'd say to try:

Boma - AKL
Jiko - AKL
California Grill - Contemporary
Yachtsman - Yacht Club
Spoodles - Boardwalk
Bistro de Paris - France in Epcot
Brown Derby - MGM
50's Prime Time - MGM
Artist Point - WL
Narcoossee's - GF
Citrico's - GF
Victoria and Albert's - GF

I realize that I've mentioned more than 5, but these are my favorites!

All of the above are great places to eat, however to confuse matters even further I would not rule out the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk!

Our new favourite is The Yachtsman. It was by far the best meal we had this trip, closely folllowed by Le Cellier, California Grill, Kona Cafe and Ohana :D

Many thanks for the posts! We'll definately consider all those options, they all look great!!!

Since a number of them are at different resorts, it'll be a great opportunity on the days we are not visiting the parks to visit these resorts - not only will it allow us to view the resorts we'll be able to have a great meal too!

Thanks again everyone! :D

Cape May at the Beech Club Resort is good for Breakfast or Dinner, but our favorite place for breakfast is Chef Mickeys at the contemporary resort

A must pick is the California Grill located in the contemporay resort. Also try Corla Reef in epcot.

For simple, American fare with character interaction, try Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. The food was well prepared (I didn't try the stuffing and the apple cobbler resembled apple crisp more than cobbler), but I could have made a meal of the biscuits! Of course, I would have gained another 100 pounds without even trying! :)

Thanks again for all the posts! From what people have said so far, it seems Boma at AKL and Calafornia Grill at Contemporay will have to be on our list without question! It'll be the perfect excuse to go and explore those resorts!

That dessert at LTT is definitely NOT a cobbler by any definition that I know. It is however, most definitely a crisp.

Bomas @ AKL (for breakfast!)
Sci Fi Dine in Theater @ MGM
The Plaza @ MK
Rainforest Cafe @ DTD
Whispering Canyon @ WL (not for the quiet or bashful bunch)

I would say Chef Mickeys for the great food and pure fun, and Boma for a really great experience.
