Nut, I've never even heard of this. Sounds cool though! And you KNOW you'll be the KING if you get this for your son.

ukwdwnut,
I purchased a less expensive (more basic) Creative Labs model in an effort to get familiar with the MP3 technology before Christmas.... I saw the Zen on the Creative website and I think it looks really cool!

The player I bought I was planning to load with songs and give it to DH for Christmas (because I know he won't load songs onto it).... The funny thing is I really like it and I don't want to part with it.

I have not really done anything with mp3 before, so I am just awed by all the cool things you can do. I can't believe how fast you can take a CD and convert it to mp3. Then, how fast it is to load onto the mp3 player. Then, how cool it is to have a hundred gigazillion songs in one little player... Nor, did I realize you could take your converted mp3 albums and put them back onto a CD in about 5 minutes. I made a CD that has about 15 or 20 Christmas albums on it--It will play for hours! How cool is that?

they are real good arent they and seemingly so easy to use, my DS has only just bought himself a mini disc player a few months back but its a bit of a bind, downloading to pc then onto a cd then onto the M D player, i might have that off him it was as new for £50, to use at work :D

Mike, has your lad not got an optical in on his mini disc?
Presuming your cd player has an optical out, problem solved!
I have a mini disc myself, cant be bothered with computer way of doing it as you mention, just hook up my mini disc to my cd player and transfer that way.
