What little food would you recomend getting around the parks. The only one i know of is the turkey leg. Also if i were to get a snack at just one world showcase country which should I choose?:wiggle:   :)

France has yummy pastries. I really like the stuff over in Norway as well.

The smorrebrod in NORWAY is fantastic. I just wish they had more choices.

Well, it depends upon what you like, and what you would be hungry for at the time!
The UK has a little shop that will sell you fish and chips. They can be quite tasty most of the time. Once in awhile they will be unbearably greasy though. However, you can "smell" the grease, if that makes any sense.
Canada has great cheese soup according to most folks. I like their beef at Le Cellier. Not "small food" but if you wanted to have something in their full service restaurant.
There's always McDonald's chicken mcnuggets and fries.
Mexico has a fairly extensive menu selection for their outdoor cantina. Their combination plate seems very popular.
Norway's bakery is very nice. They've stopped serving lunch at their buffet restuarant, so it's breakfast or dinner only now. They've changed their dinner buffet too. I'm not such a fan of it anymore. :(
China has the little outside restaurant with fairly standard "Chinese food" choices. A relative dined at Nine Dragons recently and says it has measurably improved, so maybe I will add this restaurant back to my list.
The little outpost will offer you cold drinks, fruit, and ice cream. The ice cream there looks better than it tastes.
Germany has a "hidden" Sommerfest, counter service place. It offers some nice sandwiches, both hot and cold. The pretzels here are great and the buffet is ok. It's really fallen off in the past few years, but it is still ok for the money. You can taste wine here too.
Italy is (for me) the major disappointment of the world showcase. There is such an extensive selection of Italian regional foods to offer and this pavilion just doesn't live up to the challenge. There is the dessert counter. Unispired and avoid the cannoli. It's dry, and completely blucky. The full service restaurant can be noisy, crowded (think NYC tables, one nearly atop the other) and has servers with serious attitudes. The menu is uninspired and the food of mediocre quality. Having trashed the poor place so badly, let me say that I grew up eating the best Italian food the world has to offer, so I am a fiercely difficult person to please with this particular cuisine (and seafood).
USA has stereotypical, cholesterol festival food. :) Dogs, burgers, fries... there is a so-so chicken salad available.
Japan has several nice places to have food. My favorite place to have a snack is in the Mat Su No Ma Lounge. The tempura is wonderful. The sushi is some of the best available in the area.
The Yakitori House is their counterservice. It offers among other selections, a very nice udon noodle soup. Great on chilly days.
There is the Teppanyaki restaurant also. Fresh, hot and fun.
Morocco has the cafe where you can get combination meals of sandwiches and the like, some wonderful desserts and pastries. The restaurant has changed its menu, but the food on offer is still nice, although I preferred the old menu. There is a little outdoor booth too, that offers some delicious pastries.
France. Upstairs downstairs. :) And don't forget the bakery. Stick with what the French do best and you'll be fine here, regardless of where you eat. There is a booth that offers ice cream and crepes (chocolate). I've not ever tried either! I've seen folks struggling with the crepe, though and it looked less than appetizing, so I've avoided them.
There are hot dog booths, and popcorn booths and ice cream carts interspersed throughout the WS. There are also funnel cakes available and hopefully, the beaver tails of Canada will soon return.
Future World has it's own places to eat too. Fountain View Bakery has some lucious desserts and great coffee beverages. Other than that, I'm not too thrilled with the other offerings of FW.
It's fun to try and have a tiny bite in each country. This works best if you have someone (or several someones) to share with you. Get a little selection from each country and taste yourself around the world!
There you have it. You won't go hungry at EPCOT, that's for certain!

hehe the funny thing about that is, we call them "fake fish and chips" because they're kinda so greaseless.. they're kinda dry compared to proper UK fish and chips.
I once went to a back street fish and chip shop in blackpool (never really a good idea) and they said "takeout mate?" yeah I said... they shovelled the chips into the newspaper (as it was in those days) and I walked out. About 2 minutes later, the bottom of the newspaper disintegrated because of all the grease and the chips fell out all over the floor  now THAT'S proper uk chipshop chips <G>

I agree Keith. You`ve never eaten fish and chips until you`ve had them wrapped in newspaper and smothered with vinegar!

Can you still get a proper fish and chips in London or anywhere else in the UK? I remember going to London in the early '70s while I was living in Germany and getting Fish & Chips from a corner stand somewhere wrapped in newsprint.

Oh! Well then! I'll be glad I missed it.
I recently heard (on some news show or the like) that the UK had outlawed wrapping fish and chips in newspaper?
Outlawed? That seems pretty extreme. Any reason?

I can`t remember the last time I had them wrapped in newspaper, it was ages ago.
If it is outlawed, it`s probably because of another crazy EU directive. There is so much red tape coming out of the EU these days that it wouldn`t surprise me if this were the case...probably there is a one in a zillion chance that someone could get "newsprint illness" or something like that!

Where's Germany on the poll??? They have the best buffet ever!
Best snack? Why a Mickey bar of course! Used to be the Goofy bar that they then changed to the 100 Years of Magic bar & then they took it away all together. I'm still not over it.

Being a former printer I can tell you.
Ink comes up from newsprint quite easily.
That wasn't just Fish and Chips. :afraid:

Learning and catching up on some older messages. The only reason I would get ill from the newspapers is by reading them.

it is illegal to wrap the chi direct into newspaper but it is OK if you put a sheet of clean paper between the chips and the newspaper --i don't use chip shops very much -too greasy- but i too cant remember the last time i saw any wrapped in newspaper .
