Just came back from MK and look at what was installed on one of the towers. It looks like decoration for the upcoming Cinderellabration!

Cinderellabration will be a new show on the Castle Forecourt which will be performed when the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" starts to celebrate Disneyland's 50th anniversary.

Here is the official press release from back in October 2004:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The "happily ever after" tale of Cinderella and Prince Charming continues for Walt Disney World guests in May 2005 when a glittering stage show adapted from Tokyo Disneyland debuts at Magic Kingdom.

Filled with sparkling pageantry, luxurious costumes, romantic choreography and a lush musical score incorporating new compositions and several classic Disney songs, "Cinderellabration" welcomes a who's-who of Disney princesses to join in the gala coronation ceremony in which Cinderella is at last crowned a princess.

The Magic Kingdom production takes center stage in front of the towering spires of Cinderella Castle, the majestic icon of Walt Disney World Resort, and continues the rags-to-riches story of Cinderella after the events of Walt Disney's classic 1950 animated feature film.

Joining Cinderella on her special day are Disney's most beloved princesses, including:

* Snow White (from 1937's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs")
* Aurora (from 1959's "Sleeping Beauty")
* Belle (from 1991's "Beauty and the Beast")
* Jasmine (from 1992's "Aladdin")

Also on hand are Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, the king, his majordomo and members of the king's royal court, all dressed in their finest attire.

Part of "The Happiest Celebration on Earth," the live musical spectacular is one of several new attractions Walt Disney World Resort will unveil in 2005-2006 in conjunction with a global salute to the 50th anniversary of California's Disneyland, festivities that will involve each of the Disney theme parks around the world.

"Cinderellabration" is inspired by a popular stage show created for the 20th anniversary of Tokyo Disneyland in 2003 and will be staged several times daily at Magic Kingdom.

Do I finally get to get a word in here? Yes we want to stay at the Grand Califorinian but with the cruise next year also there is no way we can stay 30 days. One I don't have that much vacation time and, Two, I don't have that kind of money, unless we hit the lottery first.

BTW PA was that $9000+ per person or for both of us?

I was actually thinking more like long weekend. Originally I wanted to come out the 5th of May but they wouldn't allow you to book anything except the 4 day weekend package and I wanted to put a day in front and a day behind. Now, if you book the package, they want to sell you a length of stay ticket with it when what I really want are 5 nights in the hotel and 4 days in the parks. By the time you throw in air fare it looks like about $6000.

Well it looks to me that they are on the right improvement track with the castle....It's not my cup of tea but at least they don't rip down to build something new....not that they would rip the castle down...but the point is they made change with slight improvements.

PA Do you remember back when DH and I were pondering the idea of a trip this year to DL ? Well , it still may be an option , but it would have to be in June after school is out . We should try for a UOG meet and if it has to be in May , I could do alot of begging at work . :lol: So, lets see , so far we have JacksDad promise to you , Donna and John , Taja , Bev and Rick , and DC ( where is she ) mentioned to me at the Dec UOG that it was a possibility for her , too . And of course , last, but never forgotten , our dear guide PA . :wink:

We are looking at two time frames: Jul 17-23 (24th) and Mar 18-26. The most important time frame is in July because I have a niece who will celebrating her first birthday at DL on 24 July.
(I want to be there for her birthday, but both DH and DS have obligations for which they signed up even before our little niece was born. DS has to be home on 24 July and DH may have to be home the day before... It puts a crimp into the planning. :( )
