MK Christmas Parade on Christmas Day

I've just checked the park hours and it is showing that the MVMCP (Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade) is on four times during Christmas day? 1,4, 8 and 10 pm?

Can that possibly be correct? Four showings of the parade in one day?

And what happened to the early morning Christmas parade. You mean there is no longer the opportunity to stand freezing (32 degree temps one year) with no coffee available EARLY Christmas morning waiting for the parade to start? :)

I've not been in MK on Christmas in nearly forever, so was looking for current info to plan my itinerary.

The info on the UOG is more comprehensive than that available at Disney! I asked about the parade on Christmas day, recently and the Guest Relations person could only give me the park hours. :eek:

Sister Tink , unless they have a parade at the MK on Christmas Day . I was already there . The parade is pre-taped . It was the 4th through the 6th of December . I got to see Regis and Kelly . Faith from what else Faith and Hope . Tom ( don't know his last name ) game host from Hollywood Squares was the MC . Also in the parade was that Doll Baby, John Stamos and an actor from Seinfeld that I did not regonize . It was quite interesting and super crowded . They must have taped the same segment three times . It will be interesting to see if I get on TV , I was right up in the front , but after the 2nd taping I left .

LOL! No, I'm not talking about the televised parade. I'm talking about the Christmas parade at MK on Christmas day. I know it's not the one shown on TV. I just want to be sure that I know the actual schedule of the parade for Christmas day.

no the televised parade is like 3 or 4 days before christmas (i've been to it twice) but they do it again i'm pretty sure on christmas day a lot.. it's really crowded and not worth it in my opinion.. the disney spirit kinda dies when people start cussing at each other because they're frusterated with the crowds.

The parade that is televised is taped at the beginning of December. I think it was the 4th and 5th this year

JM, is right ! The ABC Christmas Day parade was pre-recorded on Dec. 3rd, 4th and 5th this year . I was there and was told by a CM , that it is pre-recorded every year the 1st weekend in December . I thought it was really worth the wait/crowd . I enjoyed seeing the actor's and actress's esp. Regis and Kelly . I only wish I could have been there on the 5th to have seen Mariah Carey . She was great on TV this afternoon and Patrick and I got to see ourselves , which was super cool . My mom was here and she got really excited to see us on TV, jumping and clapping . :lol:
I can't wait till next year . We are going to plan it so we are there the entire weekend of filming . :D

I'll check with DS's friend and see if he still has his set-up . Either way , I'll see that you get one ! Ilovetink said that she has it taped onTivo and can tape DVD's ! Lucky ! I'd like to have a copy on DVD , so maybe... and she lives within a short distance of me . :wink:
I'm doing fine , alittle apprehensive about my new position and school . My boss is in Ireland , so I have to do my first provider's meeting alone on the 6th. :afraid: DH got me pretty dusty rose brushed slacks for Xmas , I bought a pretty matching chenille sweater to match . Keep me in your prayers , I just know my heart is going to be beating out of my chest that day . Getting off couse here and I will be happy to reunite mother and daughter ANYTIME ! :wink: :lol:

Hi Donna, I just PM'd usc , it was just a quick glimspe of us , but as Tom(from Hollywood Squares jumps onto Faith's vehicle and is passing, you get a quick glimspe of Patrick and I to the left of the screen . I was wearing a light green fleece jacket and have my Minnie Santa hat on , Pat had his black leather jacket on with a white baseball hat holding his camcorder . We spotted ourselves twice , but forget where exactly we were at that moment . :D

Christmas day was given over to a steady downpour for most of the daylight hours.

The parade did not go on. :( At least the 1:00 pm parade did not. I didn't stick around for the 4:00 pm one, but I'm guessing it didn't.

I have never seen such a low attendance for any park, let alone the MK, at Christmastime!
