I wasn't sure if this belongs in gadgets and gizmo's but Ihave a urgent question.

My daughters were in their tap recital on the 18th. I am so proud and wanted to email a short clip of them to my mom.
Dh and I have the clip saved on our computer but when we send it my mom and sister aren't getting anything. Is is possible to email video clips? If so can someone kindly walk me through the steps. I really want my mom to see it.
Thanks....BTW my guess is the file is too large or wrong format?

My guess is it is too large. Are you getting it returned to you?

it could be that your moms ISP company only allow emails up to a certain size i.e. 5mb, so if the clip is bigger than that it will get rejected

Its strange a couple of times when I sent it it was in my sent box (asuming she got it) however My mom and sister said they got nothing.
When trying to resend it it just sort of halts saying it failed to send. I am trying to send it to uscwest at the moment. Dh says the same thing....he thinks its too large.

Grrrrrrrrrr........I feel stupid. I know its too large now. I am embarrased to say. Its................. 29.3 MB
However its only like a 1 minute clip. Is there a way of making it smaller with out reducing the length of the clip. I know my questions sound crazy...keep in mind i am not a gadget and gizmo person.

My MCaffee Viruscan said there was a protocol error when trying to send it to John(uscwest)

<LI>Protocol error
The e-mail server has rejected an e-mail message. If a protocol error or system error occurs, the remaining e-mail messages for that session are still processed and sent to the server.

Probably because of the size. I'm not sure how to make it smaller though as I don't take video.

In the meantime, can you maybe put the whole thing on a CD and mail it to her? Then she can watch the entire performance :D

if you use windows movie maker and save the clip as .wmv file it will reduce it from 29 meg probably to somwthing under 2mb
