O.K. I don't know anything about Disney Cruises, but we are seriously considering one.
My family really wants a 4 night at the Poly stay and then a 3 night cruise.
Is this possible???? Do I have to book the most expensive cruise room in order to stay at the poly? Or should I book these seperately???
I just don't know how this works at all

You don't have to book the most expensive cruise room to get the poly. If I am correct you can pay to upgrade to the poly from the value/moderate resort. Consider asking MickeyMac or Cinderella. Cinderella helped us get a decent rate for our April cruise.

you will love the cruise. I would consider doing the 4 night one though. 3 nights may be too short.

Ilovetink is right, the 3-day might be too short. If you can, consider the 4-day cruise, that extra day makes a big difference  . Sorry I cannot answer your specific question about the poly/cruise, that's a travel planner specific question...
I have some links with photos from our cruises in my signature, enjoy!

The 4 night is better on the ships. 7 the best , but with a land sea combo I would do 4 nights sea. If you go back to wdw you might not ever go on another disney cruise, & the extra day realy makes a differance. We loved all three, but after the 7 day we even felt it was short.

I have to give the vote to a 4 day cruise, as well. 4 is short enough. 3 is WAY too short. You can always book the land and sea portions seperately. It's often cheaper, and you can choose the cabin/hotel categories. Also, shop around. Disney is often more expensive than DCL specialiust travel agents (like Cinderella or MicyMac on these boards). You'll have a blast!

Oh no I booked the 3 day cruise and 4 day land for April. I hope I didn't make a big mistake?

The Eastern Carribean, i felt had a little too much 'time at sea'. Did the 4 day in March 2004 but unfortunately missed most of it.....WARNING TO ALL....... If you do go to Nassau, DONT BE TEMPTED to hire jet ski's!!!! I made the mistake and ended up in hospital in Nassau and Orlando. Shattered arm...broken ribs etc. Dont forget, Nassau is NOT the States so there is no such thing as Air Sea Rescue!!!!!

Disney Wonder docked at about 8.30.....left the ship at about 9.30......got to the public beach by Atlantis about 10.20.......hired wave runner at 10.30.....3 wave runners went out.....only 2 came back!!! I turned to see where the others were, but the one behind me wasnt watching...... BANG!!! 600lbs travelling at 40 MPH tends to do alot of damage!!!! Going to the hospital today for yet another x-ray...hopefully better news as we're due to go to WDW on March 25!!!
