What was the funniest breakdown...

What was the funniest breakdown or glitch in a ride that you have seen? Mine was when in Disneyland, they loaded us incorrectly on an It's a Small World boat, so we almost started sinking! Also, we were stuck in Spaceship Earth for about a half hour listening to a stupid caveman!

only one i have been on that broke down was in the last vacation when we were on buzz and don't know how but as we entered the unloading area Mandy some how got the wheel chair car facing the wrong way and de railed it !!!
her face was a picture and the whole ride was stopped for ages , bet there were some mega high scores that day !

Mandy just kept saying "it wasn't my fault " yep i know but i don't think i will ever let her forget the day she derailed the car !

On our last trip we were stuck on winnie the pooh for about 30 min. We got stuck in the Heffalump room in front of the heffalump that blows smoke rings at you, every few minutes you would here the noise it makes, sometimes it blew smoke and not the next. I have to say the music dose get anoyig after a while, but the kids loved it!:)

We got stuck on Dinosaur right as the big scary dino pops out at you at the very end. They had to turn on the lights and everything. It was a seatbelt on our vehicle that was malfunctioning. Took about 20 min to get going again.

I was on Body Wars when it malfunctioned not long into it. I was very relieved when they let me get off while they repaired it. It's one of the few things at WDW that bothered me.

I was on COP when it malfunctioned. That was kind of funny. Sort of like being in a time warp. :D

Last summer my aunt and I went on the WedWay People Mover (I think its called TTA now or something but we'll always call it WedWay) and you know how it goes through Space Mountain? Well, they had closed Space Mountain for repairs and we got to see it with the lights on!!! They had people working up there and you got to see the track and everything!! Way cool! What a day to forget my camera though... I'll never forget it, we got a behind-the-scenes thing by accident!!

Also happened on The Mummy and a couple of others....by the end of our June trip, DS was convinced I was a jinx as the breakdowns only happened when i was riding with him............ :rolleyes:

I think I'd die if dinosaur broke down.. I hated that ride

we were stuck for a while on haunted mansion my 11year old neice thought it was funny, she was the only one we were all scared. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Funniest for us was the American Adventure at Epcot.

With Teddy Roosevelt and John Muir at Yellowstone Park, Teddy started leaking hydraulic fluid pretty badly and proceeded to bend completely over at the waist - as though he were doing a deep bow.

The CMs managed to kill the lights pretty quickly and get the curtain down, but it was pretty funny.

In Disney parlance by the way, these sorts of events are attractions "Going 101".

At the end of Pirate of the Carribean when you get on that conveyor belt to take you back up to the park, well when we got on it, it started going backwards, and the more people that got on the fast it would go backwards.

My dad got out the video camera and started taping it to put it on America's Funniest Home Videos (This was back in like 91) but he forgot to take off the lens cap.

The Haunted Mansion was always breaking down.

In 2003 when we were down RnR broke as soon as we were on the launch pad. We got to go and cut back in line because our car then didn't have sound.

Mission To Space we've been on delays because of people getting ill.

Space Mountain the time my dad was on it, broke and they turned on the lights and he took a picture of what it looked like.

There's been a lot. :P

we were there in June also and had loads of breakdowns so maybe we were on the same rides, Mummy was broken both mornings we went to Universal
and we got stuck on Splash Mountain at the bottom of the big drop, just had the "got to keep moving along" soundtrack playing over and over, boy only if we could!!!!!

We got stuck on Test Track in the corrosion room. We were joking that we were glad it wan't in the ice room right behind us, then we saw through the mists that there was a car stuck in there, poor things.

We were talking about all the bad rides to get 'stuck' on and my husband started singing the Small World song over and over and over... the two guys stuck in the car with us didn't seem to find anything we were saying funny at all, and DH was trying so hard to joke with them. I just found the whole situation hysterical, and got a serious case of the giggles, which just made it all worse. :rolleyes:

No...and we did look out for you. The girls, in particular, wanted to see newly-weds wearing them and we kept a lookout in all the Parks, but we saw no-one. They ended up trying them on instead.....

My sister and I have gotten stopped in the middle of Peter Pan. it was the part where you are flying over London. Not to bad, but we also had Haunted Mansion break down at the graveyard scene with our seat turned at an odd angle. That one was a little bit more fun everytime a ghost would pop up a lady in the buggy behind us would scream. Oh yeah, and when I was three Snow white broke down at the scene with the witch. Scared me so bad I lost a shoe trying to climb up in my dad's lap. Never went near that ride again until this past February when I went back with my mom and sisters. I made them all ride it with me. :)

Rawr, ya know, I was in Disney when they played that (they didn't have my lucky butt in PA when they decided to play) and I was in Muppet Vision 3D and I didn't turn off my phone, because i figured no one would call, but when i was there, my phone started ringing, my friend texted me with

THE STEELERS WON IN YOUR FACCCCCCE!!!!!!!!!

Yeeeep.

On our recent trip we encountered a few problems with the TOT - on one occasion after finishing the drops the 'car' did not rotate to face the exit doors for quite a while and the lights went off! They seemed to have problems all day long that day and the queues ended up being 45min+ leading upto time for Fantasmic.

On out last day we went to the MK (10 December) and it rained quite heavily a couple of times in the early afternoon. We went on POTC to avoid one downpour - as our boat approached the unloading area the ride shut down. We must have been there an hour waiting to be rescued - they shut off most of the soundtrack apart from the pirate at the end, who turned out to be very annoying after such a long wait.

Cast Members with waders on came and diverted some of the boats behind us and produced a gangplank contraption for us to get from our boat to somewhere where we could walk out.

It was quite cool seeing backstage, but such a long walk back to anywhere useful. We were rewarded with passes to go to the front of a line.
