Has anyone else been told by their Disney Store that the Disney Dollars have been temporarily discontinued? I went into my local Disney Store at the Mall on 12/23 to pick up Disney Dollars for the stockings and I was told that they were being "re-vapped" and they were pulled from all the stores. They told me that they would be introduced in May 2005? I thought this was strange wanted to know if anyone out there has been told the same thing? Seems like they are setting themselves up to loose a lot of money between now and then.

Don't know about that happening in the parks, somebody correct me about this  .

The Disney Stores are not owned by Disney anymore, but by The Children's Place. Disney and TCP might be working out contracts which might include the use of Disney Dollars.

Or, since The Happiest Celebration on Earth celebrating Disneyland's 50th anniversary starts around mid-2005, the entire series of Disney Dollars might be getting a makeover. Interesting... hmmm

Hummmm..... I know that my boss got some for me for Christmas (used them for a Mickey t-shirt and a Christmas Stitch) and she said she got them the day before which would have been the 15th

SM, you are correct, the stores *are* now owned by TCP, so I think you may have a good guess as to what's happening...

I was told the same thing on the 22nd when I went by the TDS to pick up some dollars...
