Hi Again:
Looking ahead to our April trip, I would love to have some info/tips on unique gifts souvenirs that ideally can't be purchased at every Disney etc store across the world. I have two DD's (princess fans) aged 5 and 8 and a DS aged 7. I would really love for them to be able to buy something that is unique to WDW. I have heard about crystal replicas of Cindy's castle and slippers - does anyone know where these can be purchased - are they only availalble in crystal or are less expensive (glass ones) available. I would love all the ideas you have.
Thanks, as always.

The glass castles are very nice, you will find them at Uptown Jewelwers at MK Main Street and EuroSpain in Downtown Disney.
The company which makes them is Arribas Brothers (http://www.arribasbrothers.com/). Their website has a catalog of the items they also sell at WDW.

One of my favorite inexpensive souveniers from WDW are die cast metal replicas of the ride cars from different attractions. They can be found at Once Upon a Toy Store in Downtown Disney. Each car is about $5.00, and they range in size from about an egg to an orange. Some have already been discontinued, but I have collected them from Peter Pan, Pooh, Snow White, Splash, Kali, Kilimanjaro, and a few others. You don't see them all over the place, and I think your kids would love a souvenier of a favorite ride of theirs. I've heard you can find some of them on Ebay so you might be able to see what they look like there.

most of the stuff at WDW is unique to the parks. Rarely have I ever seen something in the Disney Stores that I have found at the parks. Unique within the parks themselves would possibly be at Epcot world showcase. Much of what you find at WDW shops is repeated throughout the parks.

Also.. they can have their own Princess sketch (or any other character) by a WDW artist. The price is $32 for one character and each sketch comes with the artists signature and with a stamp from WDW...
There is one shop inside MGM on the way towards the ToT and RNRC, to the right side, where you can actually see the artists at work, and check out the sketches already made.... and there is another shop with already made sketches in DTD... I can remember the name though
