Here's the deal if you buy your tickets at a disney store. All the tickets that we sell expire 14 days after your first use. If you want the no expiration you have to take your tickets to disney at the guest relations window and add it on there. The price ranges from $10 extra for a 3 day to $55 extra for a 7 day. Then when you use your ticket for the first time, you have to put your fingers in that machine they have at the entrance, this way your tickets are now non transferable. This is so people can't sell their unused days. It's very confusing trying to explain this entire new system to people. No one seems very happy about it. Especially the fact that you can't add on the no expiration option when you buy the tickets. Hopefully it will be ok

There are signs up at the parks explaining the need to use the finger machines for anyone over the age of ten. The machines have changed their look too. They've been upgraded I guess. It wouldn't read my AP properly today.

I can only imagine the confusion that will be rampant until the new system is in place and people begin to understand it.
