It is going on my two year anniversary with my boyfriend and we are going to Florida again this year with his brother and family. We really can't afford to go but it is the little niece's first year she is old enough to go with and we wouldn't miss that for anything. I was thinking of getting the Orlando Entertainment Book for the coupons and savings. What else can we do to save a little?
Thanks,
Julia

Julia,
:welcome: to the board
Your best bet will be avoid eating on WDW property as it is higher priced than off property
I have never done it but you could take your own packed lunch in which would save you having to buy lunch.
Visit a local supermarket and stock up on what you need. you can always buy crisps and choc to take with you.
Or another option would be to have Breakfast at one of these eat as much as you can places and you may then not need to have lunch,
If you are staying off property I-Drive comes to mind that they have coupon holders in different places.
There are also a lot of places where children eat free this may or maynot help you.
Have a good trip, good luck

We always eat at the all you eat buffets for breakfast, take your time and make sure you really fill up, that will save you having to eat a big lunch. Two we used were Pondorosa for breakfast and Sizzler for dinner. We found light snack i.e hotdog was all we needed. Take water bottles into the park with you and fill them up at the fountains. We do it all the time, and water is so much better at keeping you rehydrated than juice. A lot of the hotels on I Drive do kids eat free for both breakfast and dinner. All the hotels I have been to have coupon books at reception or in the foyer. Don't be shy to use them!!! If you are in a hotel room make sure you have a fridge, then pop down to Wall-Mart and stock up on juice, crisps, fruit ect for the room. So much cheaper than the hotel shops. Above all have a great time, the first time a child sees Disney and the characters is truly magical!!! My son was 3 1/2 and he honestly believed the characters were real!!! Feb is a nice month, not too hot and not crowded.

Well, you can stay at a value resort, buy some snacks off property before hand. Then when you are hungry go off property.
Eating on property will become very expensive. personally, I think the food is nicer outside of the parks.
Hope you have a nice vacation!

Hi Julie! Welcome to my favorite place..other than WDW of course.
We always pack snacks to eat, but we always end up eating more while we're at WDW. Why? Cos there's food places all over the place and everything always smells so good! And you're walking, walking, walking all day long.
Good luck! And have fun!

Ponderosa for brekkie is a great way to start the day. Its fun and for us as we travel in a big group is a good way too meet up in the morning without having to sit in cars outside each others villas.
PS I love looking at my countdown now!
