Sad but true.
When I was in the WDW College Program, I think it was '95, I had to go help security to translate for a group of teeenagers from Argentina who were caught stealing. I had to tell them and their chaperone that once Orange County Sheriffs arrived, they would be taken back to their hotel, their passports confiscated and put on a plane back to Argentina.

Wow, I wish we could have done that at the Disney Store. all we could do was call Security...and we seldom did that! I never understood that policy of the store.

having owned a shop for 25 years and security being very important i am horrified by the lack of security at ALL wdw shops
it is a shoplifters dream
there are so many blind spots , OK i have not seen all the CCTV , but i did see some of it when we went behind the scenes in the world of Disney in 2001, but there are so so many ways to pinch stuff -especially when the shops are busy even with the best CCTV in the world if you get 4 friends around you you can block 99% of camera angles -oh yes not only did i have my own business but i worked in a B+Q very closely with the in store detectives and the best way to know how to stop thieves is to try to get out of the store with stock without being seen -when they are specifically watching you and it was fun too !hey that makes me sound bad but it was all done wit hthe knowledge and co operation of the store manager .(best one of all was when the store manager walked past my best friend who was on security check-she had a trolley with £900 worth of power tools and was not stopped )
back to the subject they must loose 1000's of dollars worth of stock every week

Don't know about WDW, but I know when we had our inventories (every 6 months) we always did pretty good as far as theft. But then, we would always signal each other and swarm the person we thought was pinching stuff. Normally worked out really good! Like a commando squad!

At the top of the screen, click on the link that reads "User CP"
Once there, to the left you should see a link that reads "Edit Signature"
