Ultimate 14 day pass clarification pls

If we went to a disney park in the day and then went to pleasure island at night, would this take up two days of our 14 day pass? We probably dont need many days for the main parks, but want to go to TL and pleasure island a few times so want to buy the right tickets for us. Not sure which is best:shrug:

Hi Alison,

No it wouldn't. You can use the pass unlimited anywhere for 14 days. If you wanted to go to a park in the morning, a water park in the afternoon and PI at night it doesn't matter. :thumbs:

Another Ultimate Park Hopper question...

I understand that this ticket is also your door card, i.e. the same card you use to unlock your door in your resort is used as your Park Pass? - is this true?

So how does this affect your entry into the parks? I was under the impression that you needed to have an actual paper-type ticket for the park to gain entry? Or do you just simply hand your all-in-one door card/pass type thingy to the staffa t the turnstyles?

If the above is correct, is this also the same card that you put in the Fastpass machines to obtain a Fastpass ticket? If so, it really is a multi-funtion ticket and a half!!! :wacko:

I doubt it. I'm pretty sure the UK Ultimate ticket couldn't work as your room card.:shrug: The only time i've had an 'all in one' card was when we booked with The Walt Disney Travel Co. and had a length of stay package where we collected our card/ticket on arrival. :)

Hi. When we went in Jan we had ultimate length of stay park hopper tickets as part of our Virgin package. These were given to us when we checked in at Pop Century. They were credit card sized and we used them for everything - door keys, park entry and obtaining fast passes.:)

Did you book any other tickets through Virgin, e.g. Cirque Du Solei etc? If so, when did you get hold of these?

From what I understand, the 'ultimate length of stay' has been replaced by MYW tickets. There is a UK ticket which is called the 'Ultimate' 14 or 21 day ticket and allows you to park hope etc. These are distributed by people like Orlando Ticket Deals and exclusive to the UK, which is why I doubt they will be your room card.

Where did you buy your ticket Ad.?

If you bought it as part of a Disney package, I don't know what they give you now as a replacement or whether it will stay the same. Maybe one of our TA's can tell you. :)

I bought it at the time I booked with Virgin holidays - it was called "Ultimate Park Hopper" and was included in the price of my on-line booking

One of our travel agents will probably be able to tell you which they do as there must be lots of people with this question who have booked the old packages. So, the MYW tickets, are these also credit card sized tickets? And, more importantly, do they offer the same in that you can visit as many parks as you want in a day during the 14 night stay, including as many trips to water parks and PI etc as you want??

I'm not sure Ad. I suspect MYW will be paper though. I can't tell you how much it annoys me that our AP's are paper! :hissy:

I have looked at The Virgin website and this is what they say:

I’ve already booked my Disney tickets with you, will my tickets still be valid?
Yes, there will be no change to tickets bought previous to 2nd January 2005, all benefits and terms and conditions will remain the same.


Maybe someone coming back can clear this up because it is very confusing because they have called the new UK ticket the 'Ultimate 14/21 day pass'. Virgin may well send you a UK Ultimate 14 day ticket which allows you to do all the things your length of stay would (includes water parks etc). Then again, Disney may still be supplying the ticket on your room card on behalf of Virgin as before. You WILL get all the benefits you booked for whichever they supply you with, so don't worry. It's all very confuddling :wacko:

Mmm hadn't realised they were now called 14 or 21 day ultimate tickets and so the system might be different.

As far as other tickets the only other ones I bought were for Discovery Cove and I bought them from Orlando ticket deals - follow the link for discount tickets at the top of the page. They were cheaper than Virgin and came within a few days of full payment being made.:)
