"Show images" is ticked. Checked that a while ago. Not seen a "view images" presume the name is different but is the same thing.
Still no images.

Clean your monitor. http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Sorry. Geek humor.
Turn the view images off in both USERCP and explorer.
Restart computer and IE.
Now turn the option on both back on.
Restart IE.

And if that doesn't work then you've broken it. :slap:

got Mcafee running inc firewall

The firewall most likely sees attached images as offensive downloads.
Try lowering your security settings on the firewall.

Not familiar with that firewall. It may be a combination of your IE security settings and the privacy block.
Dare you call Mccaffee tech support? :afraid:

Just try lowering your IE security settings first, the disable the firewall all together.
If it works .....http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

The firewall doesn't seem to affect the images, only the privacy setting. Got it turned off and attached images can be seen.

Well there ya go.
I remeber I ran that shortly and did a server test on it that showed me in pure stealth mode.
Nice! But I could even get to Google!
I say uninstall and do the free Zone Alarm in conjunction with the XP firewall.
