Hi
Are both DTD & the Boardwalk suitable for very mature 7 & 10yr boys ? We already plan to visit Disney quest but I guess we will be in there the whole evening judging by the amount of time spent on the computer games now! I would like a pleasant evening with a casual meal maybe with some kind of entertainment. Also are there any 'family' comedy bars in the area? Thought we would have a shopping day followed by an evening at but unsure of where to head for.

If what you mean by suitable is are they kid friendly, then I would say yes. I would NOT take kids that age to Pleasure Island. DTD probably has more to do during the day time as there are more shops etc. and Boardwalk in the evening when there most likely will be some sort of entertainment.

My 8 year old son loves downtown disney. He loves when we rent the water mouses or a pontoon boat and he cant get enough of lego land. The boardwalk is great for a nice walk.I find the Boardwalk to be a lot calmer than DTD. Not to mention a fuge sundae from Ghiadellas!

The boardwalk comes alive at night with entertainers, surrey bikes, people watching and even some midway games. They also have face painters and hair braiders and lots of "boardwalky" snacks.

You could always have the best of both worlds and do both of them. As they are not very far from one another, you could go shopping at DTD as you suggest and them head over to the Boardwalk in the evening for dinner and a stroll around the place.

Hmm, i am a mature 17 year old and I dont feel comfy in Pleasure Island. DTD is okay, and so's Boardwalk.
If you are weary, you could allow the kids in DQ and then give the ten year old a radio or cell phone to keep in contact with you, since they are mature. :)
Then you can go into DTD. It's mostly shops and stuff, but PI is def. not a kid area. :)
