And what better way would there be to cap off an evening of fun (Not to mention maximize your movie's promotion potential) than to have Johnny Depp wielding a sword as he presides over the ribbon cutting at WDW's revamped "Pirates" attraction? Then premiere party-goers (and the press) could board long boats and check out the newly spruced up ride. As well as getting pictures of Mr. Depp standing alongside the attraction's new Cap'n Jack Sparrow figure

Ooooh, be still my heart.

I refused to go see the movie after reading about the treatment on DL's CMs during the first premier.

Have to see if I can find that.

I read an article on Mouseplanet, I think. Went back to find it and couldn't. Lets see if I can remember some of the low lights.

They (there were arguments as to who they were, but sounds like it was the distributors or something., Again I read this a long time ago, so don't quote me) wouldn't allow the CM's to watch the movie. The CM's were rounded up and kept without adequate facilities for the whole duration of the movie. They were given leftover food from a press event if I remember right.

So they didn't have to do the whole start-up process of the rides, one CM was left at each ride alone for the duration.

There were other things, but I can't recall them. Maybe I'll search again.

I refused to go to the theater, but DH did rent it on pay-per-view. I fell asleep and didn't see the whole thing.

Found it
here (http://www.mouseplanet.com/david/dk030702.htm)

and here (http://www.mouseplanet.com/mailbag/m030710.htm)

There are also articles about the day itself from someone attending the event. Sounds like a complete goat rope as we'd say.
