Hugh Jackman's dancing deal (with Disney)
SEXY actor Hugh Jackman has announced a lucrative film deal with Walt Disney studios that could make him the Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly of the new millennium.

The multi-movie deal will create musical films for Jackman to star in.
He will also take a producing role in the projects, which could include remakes of some Hollywood musical classics.
"As an art form, the musical is Mount Everest," Jackman told Hollywood trade magazine Variety.
"Tough to pull off, but exhilarating and timeless when it works. And when it is done badly, it stinks to high heaven."
The deal was hatched after Disney executives - Dick Cook and Nina Jacobson - saw Jackman in his Tony Award winning role as Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz.

I got both of those too. No romance but that first fight scene in the bar. Was good enough. :)

I liked that movie "Kate and Leopold". I particularly remember when he told Kate in his courtly fashion of the 1880's, "If I were courting you, I would have informed you of my intent in writing" or something to that effect.
Forgive me for not knowing, but is Hugh an Aussie or a Brit? I wonder if he knows Nicole Kidman. I always thought all Aussies must know each other (and have pet kangaroos in their gardens).
Nicole Kidman was on "Ellen DeGeneres" (the talk show) and when she said she sometimes "honks" a bit when she laughs, Ellen said "okay, Car Bumper stickers could say "Honk if You Love Nicole""
Anyway, Hugh Jackman seems cool.

Aussie. The main reason why he out of the running to being the next Bond. Too bad, because we would make a great 007.

He would definitely make a great james bond. :)
Yep, he knows Nicole Kidman. I think all the Aussie actors/actresses know each other. Australia, so big, but also has a very, very tiny neigborhood. :)

If Hugh could be James Bond, I'd probably start watching those movies again also!
He can be so romantic and actually look comfortable!

I could totally see him as 007. Maybe there is a chance sisnce his parents are both English..., but doubt it
"Born in Sydney of English parentage, and the youngest of 5 children, Jackman has a Communications degree with a journalism major from the University of Technology Sydney. After graduating, he pursued drama at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, ..."

"007 - The Musical" with Hugh Jackman - I can just see it now.
Maybe Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber could make it a smash in the West End, and even aspire to the much loftier heights of Broadway. It could well play for twenty years, until Hugh couldn't do a pirouette any more.
I like Sean Connery well enough, but can he dance?

[B]I like Sean Connery well enough, but can he dance?
I don't know about dancing, but he can sing .
I think the only time he has sung on film was on Darby O'Gill and the Little People.
