I'm wondering if I can split a 14 day expire MYW ticket with a friend?? My friend is going to Disney the week before us. If she gets a 10 day pass, that expires 14 days after the start, can she use some days on it, then when she leaves Florida, give it to me to use the following week? we won't be at the park on the same days, and all travel will be within the 14 day time frame. But I've heard that Disney is now doing digital scans for passes, to prevent this type of thing. Is it true? It would be a huge savings for us to split a pass, as we're only going for 3-4 days and are not interested in buying more days than what we need.
Does anyone know for certain if they're scanning people for all tickets?

I'm guessing they're going to require some kind of identification or finger scan, similar to APs.

All tickets will require a finger scan for adults and all disney tickets (and this is not new) are non-transferable

Hi
Myself and my wife were at WDW in June 2003. We had the 10 Day World Pass (I don't know if this makes any difference) and everytime we entered any of the parks we had to place our index and middle fingers in a V shape in the machine at the entrance gate where we put our Disney ticket in so it could read our fingerprints.
This would stop any transferring of tickets I suppose :(

yeah, with the finger scanning is more of a pain, b/c people don't how to use it, and take more time to go through the line

I know what you mean!
The first day we went to WDW I used me left hand (don't know why because I am right handed) which gives the computer the initial scan of your fingerprints.
From then on, everytime we went I kept putting my right hand in first and had to change back to the left - what an idiot I am!

It doesn't check your prints. It measures your fingers.

Measures the bones of your knuckles. :)
I don't know what will happen with those tickets that you see on e-bay. I know with an AP sometimes the machine doesn't work for me. Once in awhile I have to go and get a new pass because of it.
Since no name is attached to the pass (MYW) as there is with an AP, I don't know how WDW intends to verify that the person with the pass is the actual one time original owner.
