You can rent a scooter or wheelchair from each park or have a look here (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/disab.html) if you want to rent one for your whole stay from an offsite company.

I am sure Candyman will be along shortly...he had a scooter whilst here in November....put it in the back of the hired van!

We got the scooter in the boot/trunk of a Mitsubishi Galant. No room for anything else though. Had to put the stroller inside the car.

You'd be suprised just how far those scooters can break down. We had a chair from Randy's and we managed to fit it into the PT Cruiser we rented. Takes maybe 5 minutes to do. Just be sure to tell them you need one to fit into a car.

Thank you for all the advice, we will take it with us on Thursday and if i need it i will certainly give Randy`s a call or just turn up, but this time round i'm just going for the atmosphere and just the place :D

Not positive about this but make some phone calls. Many places will deliver and pick up the chair or scooter.

Randy's will deliver and pick up at your resort with no extra charge.

The WDW resorts require a fair amount of walking, and rental of chairs in the parks is for the specific park only. You can use your receipt the same day in other WDW parks if you park hop. And I read something recently about multiple-day rates. Be sure to check that out if you decide to rent at the parks.
Definitely give Randy's a call and let them know what type of vehicle you're driving. You may be able to change your rental vehicle to accommodate a scooter. Candyman's was candy apple red--quite fitting! :)

All the rental companies on our disability pages deliver and collect.
With Randy's you have to be there to take delivery. With Walker's and the other's they will leave the scooter/wheelchair at your hotel ready for your arrival.

Its really expensive ... nerf making money out of the disabled !
i'll see how it goes and how i feel when i'm there, if i need to hire one i will do, but we are not doing the parks this time around ... might do Magical Kingdom because its the best then we will take a wheelchair or scooter :D
